2025 Engine Failure

Hello everyone,
had my 2025 Tundra towed to the Dealer today. Diagnose #6 cylinder is dead waiting for Toyota to see what they are going to do with it 9408 miles on it. Will update as it progresses. Good thing i kept my 2007 FJ with 328,000 miles on it still going strong.

 

Oh man that sucks. Looking forward to hearing WTF is wrong. Oh yeah welcome from the Rust Belt Pa..

 

I have seen those piles of salt in PA area - no wonder Everything rusts in Pittsburg.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Please keep us posted on what they find. I think this is the first '25 engine failure I've heard about.

 

What a shame,,, sorry about the troubles. That is like the third one on this site,, (if I remember correctly)

What month was the truck produced? It will be on the VIN sticker on the driver's door jamb.

 

About the third I’ve heard about

 

Closing in on double digit failures at this point. If rumor is true, there are about 20,000 engines that would still have a debris issue in the 2025 model year.

 

so only 19,997 more to go? damn, sorry this happened OP. Father in law bought a '22 in June or July of that year, 70 or 80k miles on it now, it's been flawless. He got the recall letter for the engine but he's on the fence about taking it in. Probably wont, who knows. Good luck and keep us posted
