I'm really not a fan of the swing out over wheel well bin... i think they're ugly and you have to go digging to find anything. Back of seat might be ok , if the strap tied under the back of the front seat , and not right around the middle. I'm also painfully aware that because of the under seat batteries i don't have a lot of options....

something that is appealing to me , it a Molle Panel with a Milwaukee Packout attached to it for Tow Straps , first aid , tie downs etc. (But even the cheap Amazon ones are 400$ in Canada)

the rub ? a molle panel is a water cut piece of metal which seem to be very expensive , not to mention the packout i would need.

are there any recommendations from the overlanders as to a reasonably priced panel ? *i don't need to do the whole bed , just maybe the back or one side. also with the long box , finding a side molle which uses all the space may be more hassle than it's worth they all seem to be for the short bed.

I'd check with a local welding shop, many have plasma cutting tables that would be able to cut anything you want to your specifications. As for the packout maybe just get packout mounts from Amazon and mount them wherever you want. That would keep it tucked against the sides better than using a molle panel plus packout cleats.

this was my plan for my Garmin Powerswitch mount too..... people are charging 150-200 CAD for one and a piece of Aluminum that size is like 20bucks - i can't believe they would charge me 100+ to round the edges and put a hole or two in it for wires.

Thanks i have a friend that worked for a place with a water cutter too *i think the plasma CNC tables are a little more prevalent in my area and might be cheaper tho - ty for the idea!

It's too bad Ram has a copyright on the bed storage. I always loved that feature. Having the hybrid tundra kills any rear seat storage, and having a rolling metal bed cover also kills more

Right ?! The Ram Boxes and their back seat floor bins are great ! , I’d even take the space in the tailgate of the Colorado/canyons … I know there are aftermarket options like that for us but they are very expensive and you have to cut up your tailgate.

I will say the OEM bed extender came with my purchase. At first I thought it was a waste of $350ish, but I find myself using it all the time. Highly recommend, especially if you can get one used. Helps a lot with furniture, even though my bed cover canister eats up almost a foot of truck bed space.

I have a diamondback coming for my hybrid, should be okay for storage.
