I see that there are 2 popular oil canister drain and removal kits. One cost $70 and the other $30. Pictures show almost identical products. Any opinion. I can't remember both names at the moment but one is Motivx ($70).

I have the Motivx. Very nice piece of kit. I don't mind spending a little more on tools that make my life easier.

Motivx is double plus good. They also sell other "bottoms" to the funnel for other vehicles. I have one for my son's Accord and an adapter for our Sienna which has the half-turn oil cap. As a bonus, the filter wrench is made here in the US (WA state). If you go to their web site and scroll down, there's a video showing how the filter wrench is made.

The Motivx is great. I use it on all three of my Toyota’s…well worth the price tag.

    High quality stuff.

I have the Motiv canister wrench - high quality product, much better than what you find at local parts stores. My cannister drain is a no-name I got from Scamazon but it’s a nice hunk of brass and beautifully machined. Funnel is an old funnel I’ve had for 30+ years.

I just purchased the Motivz kit for my new to me 2020 Tundra. I called them prior to ordering and customer service was excellent. The kit was packaged well & the tools look well made.

My neighbor bought 2 of the cheaper kits by mistake and offered me one for cheap. Swears the quality is the same as the more expensive ones as the "Motivx" patent has expired.

I see on the Motivx site the whole kit including funnel is on sale for $65 plus tax with free shipping. Any better deals I should know about?

Not that I could find. I chose the FedEx shipping for $4.95 after talking with customer service and got the kit & got it in 2 days. I was impressed with kit and packaging.

Motivx full kit here for my 'new' Tundras 1st at home oil change, well worth the $. Only thing I ran into is the drain tube supplied may be a bit long if you're truck isn't elevated/on a lift. Easy fix tho.
