22' Tundra front doors not metal???

I attempted to put on magnetic American flag decals on the front door beneath the rear view mirror and the magnets would not stick. I tried the rear door, rear truck bed, and tailgate and the magnet stuck. Is the front door not made of metal?

 

Not sure about the '22 doors, but its possible they are aluminum which is not ferromagnetic.

 

Try the magnet on the bed next, it'll blow your mind

It's still a metal, just non-ferrous.

 

The new 22+ Tundra has oak doors, that's why they sound so solid when closed.

 

I meant to say steel doors but yeah. Interesting to know.

Yoooo it’s pretty fun to take a magnet and see what’s not steel. The cab is definitely steel and so are the rear doors. Front doors, hood, fenders, and bed sides are aluminum!

 

that's crazy, so my new Costco magnetic lights won't stick if I buy and work on a 2022 engine area?

I just bought 2 more lights with seatbelt cutter and red emergency light which my other 4 or 5 magnetic lights didn't have
