Hi, all. I reeeeeeeeally want a '22 Tundra TRD Pro, but had to order a loaded-up Limited locally in Utah because I was told the lead time for the Pro is 2 years. Does anyone know if you have dealers in your area that have not booked their allocation of the TRD Pro out that long? I am very willing to buy elsewhere and travel to take delivery if I can get it much sooner.

    Thanks!

Reach out to Young Toyota in Logan. They helped me get my 22' SR5 when the dealerships in SLC all had allocations met or crazy markups. I've heard Brent Brown Toyota in Orem is a good source too.

FYI - Brent Brown wants 10K over for TRD Pros. I didn't enquire past that.

I stand corrected! Haha. I think the Pro is gonna be a hard one to find for a while and I’m sure most if not all dealerships will have a MA since they are highly sought after.

Good luck OP, Toyota wants to treat and price the TRD Pro like it’s something really special even though it’s a Limited with different wheels and shocks.

You should consider waiting a few years for the hype to die down, and then buy one for a reasonable price. Unless you just have to be first, in which case you get to overpay and be part of the problem.

I am not sure how many TRD PROS got realeased in the first allocation last week nationally but 16 were allocated in the Southeast Toyota Region. I was told there were so few, Toyota did a lottery for the dealers because the demand is so high. Fortunately I got my VIN for a white with red interior that is supposed to be deliver by my dealer in North Carolina the first week of June. Looks like there’s more deposits than inventory and a lot of people will be waiting at least until 2023 for the Pro models.

If you are willing to pay $83,199, Palmer's Toyota in Mobile, Alabama is getting a Lunar Rock Pro with red interior in about a month I was told. I was also told I could be the first to put a deposit down. Unfortunately, the price and the interior puts me out of the running. Just received the email on
12 May, at about 830 PM CST.

Allocations will assuredly be low but I would take the word of these dealers at precisely how low, with a healthy serving of salt.

    Good luck!

I was on reddit and someone just got there 2022 Pro. Guy paid 72.5K out the door. He ordered it in Dec and just got it. Dealership charged him a 5K mark up. They originally wanted to charge him 10K above sticker. He had some choice words with dealership and they lowered it by 5K. Personally I would have told dealership to pound sand.

I currently have 13 deposits down at my dealership here (southwest PA) for PRO Tundras. We make customers aware that they are likely looking at the 2024-2025 MY if they get on the list now and everyone ahead sticks. Even the largest of dealers will only get a handful a year.

One dealer here says two years out. Another gives it 8-12 months. I believe the dealer with the two year projection.

im #42 on a wait list for a pro at a local msrp dealer. so bought a 22 platinum to drive for 2-3 years. may end up going platinum hybrid or just keep my current one. dont think i'll actually ever use crawl or the locker so makes no sense for me to go pro other than looks. lol. if i go offroad and possibly trash a truck im using my supercharged 08. hehe

Yeah, that is probably the best way to go about it. No reason to wait and twiddle our thumbs (although I am with my SR5 getting built)! Pre-COVID they were hard to come by, don't think that is going to change even if the car industry gets the rug ripped from underneath them.
