Trying to program myQ Chamberlain garage door opener to digital mirror on '23 Tundra 1794 but nothing works. Went to Toyota manual / website, Chamberlain manual / website, Homelink manual / website plus youtube videos & nothing works. Even the digital mirror tutorial doesn't work but keeps saying "start over" after prompt to push homelink button 3 times doesn't work. Ughh.. anyone else have same issue. (Ugghh, Am almost starting to regret trading in my F150 for this truck!) Help anybody??

I got mine to work and if I remember, I had to use one of the existing remotes to get the process completed. I'll check the manual later to see if I'm remembering correctly.

The video looks like what I did including having to press the learn button.

I saw this video & it was definitely the best one I could find. However, on my digital mirror, when you get to the point where you press the homelink button 3 times in a row & it asks "did garage open" there is a yes or no button & if you press "no" it does not prompt to go press learn button on garage opener unit, but instead merely says "start over". It doesn't provide any other option. I probably tried 40 or 50 times. I also attempted to press the learn button at that same juncture (just like in the video) a number of times but still not working. I was able to get my wife's Lexus to work but not the Tundra. So far it's been two days & still nothing.
Also, the owner's Manuel was no help but basically says if not working go to Homelink video (which also dis not work). Thanks everybody

I have the digital mirror and I programmed mine like the firt car he did in the video. Push the button flashes orange then hold my garage remote very close to mirror and push remote button and hold. I didn’t even know the digital mirror showed instructions like his tundra. Does yours flash orange?

I remember years ago I couldn't get my Homelink to work. Spoke to a rep on the phone. She told me to unplug the motor from the receptacle for a few minutes. After doing that and 're-following' the learn directions, it's working great.

I was having issues with mine and maybe took me ten tries to get it to sync up. Kept having to get in and out of the truck to repush the button on the they actually garage opener hanging from the ceiling. Got annoyed after a while and almost said screw it. But the last time I tried it synced right up and the button worked. Not sure what I did to get it to work but I’d say keep trying and move the opening around to different spots next to the mirror and see if it pulls the frequency

Get the truck as close as possible to the door opener. I found using the original opener transmitter worked after about five or six tries. When it tells you to hold the hand held transmitter button and wait. WAIT. Be patient. Give it a good 30-60 seconds before you let the button go. As I recall, that's what worked for me.

How are the batteries in your remote. Sometimes it’s not the arrow, but the Indian. Unless you have a slew of other problems, that’s not a reason to regret buying the truck. Hopefully you’ll love it at some point

Agreed I tried 3 different times tried all of the techniques mentioned above.
My first attempt was on day 2 of ownership so I think the fob battery was in good standing, I dunno after the third attempt I had just about enough of manual reading, you tube asking here and multiple phone calls with both technical support ect.
It was pretty easy to jump on Amazon and making a $25 remote purchase, do I want this in my brand new truck that offers a door opener?
Hell no,but enough is enough and just move on I have better things to do.

I don't know what ECU controls the Homelink stuff but I was wondering if a dealer could re-flash that ECU? Maybe ask when you take it in for the first service? Wish I could offer more help.

For some reason I couldn't get mine to program without the original remote. When I used the original it took the programming first time.

Same happened on mine. What I did:
-erase the code on your truck even if it's brand new. there are videos on how to do that.
-press what switch on the mirror I want to use until you see blinking yellow light
-while pressing the mirror button, press and hold the garage opener and make sure the controller is about 1 inch or closer to the mirror.
wait a few seconds and the mirror light indicator should turn green. If not do the first step again and this time use a different button from the mirror and make sure the garage opener is directly facing the switch about 1 inch away.

That worked on mine after trying it for a week.
    Hope this helps.

I had issues trying the remote opener method from the video that has been shared. I gave up after several attempts and never tried it again for maybe 9 months. Once I was parked facing the garage door instead of away it worked on the first try.

Got mine to program by accident. Tried & tried per instructions. Tried programing without the remote, worked first time.

Sounds like exactly what I had to go through.
Shouldn’t be so difficult, but very happy once it worked.

FINALLY got it to work.. Feel like a total idiot and glad at same time. So my wife got a new 2025 Lexus with same digital mirror as Tundra that she asked me to program garage door to. Then same as with my truck it would not work, so I knew (like someone here said above) it was "the Indian not the arrow". For whatever reason this time I tried simultaneously pushing the two outside program buttons like the old mirrors do (but none of the videos online including one above mentioned). Well it worked first try after that. Cleared program by pushing 2 outside buttons at same time for 10 seconds till flashing. Then proceeded with programming instructions indicated on mirror prompts. Both Tundra and Lexus garage door openers working now. Thanks everyone for all your input and support.
