Looks like the new Taco will have a 2400w inverter....would love to retrofit this to a tundra with a second lifepo4 battery/charge controller.

    Thoughts?

Would be cheaper and quicker to go with an aftermarket inverter. Watts are watts.

Watts are watts yes. Keeping everything Toyota branded has its benefits to a clean install. I would like to see if the 2400w Inv. would fit where they mount the 400w Inverter. Helpfully there is enough room for the larger unit. does anyone have dimensions / pictures of what the new inverter looks like?

Hopefully Tundra gets the upgrade...I would be surprised they would leave it only for the Taco. curious to your comment on the alternator. Since the alternator charges the battery and the inverter is powered from the battery, not the alternator...You would need to get a larger andor dual battery and heavier gauge wire from the battery to the inverter if anything.

I've had my eyes on A Renogy setup going through an Charge controller (to avoid changing alternator) and a lithium second set of batteries (2x 100ah) under the seat with a 2k inverter hopefully stuffed under the console where the original one lives. I haven't done all my research yet, but looking for more Ideas and If I could keep it "Toyota" there is value in that for me.

Thank you Ryan, if there is info from inside Toyota saying this, then there must be some valid reasoning. Honestly I didn't look at the avatar when I wrote that. You are a guy who knows a thing or two about a thing or two!
well...bummer. I might just have to go aftermarket.
    thanks

    Many on the way.
The Lexus LX600 w/ VIP package receives a 240 amp alternator… so that’s in the range of what’s required.
