I'm going to replace my stock tires Yokohama soon (265/60/20). I don't do off road at all, just hwy and towing my boat. I will probably go with the Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2. Looking at these two sizes 275/60/20 and 285/55/20, which size do you prefer? Thanks!

Debated same thing as you. There's no doubt the lifted trucks with bigger tires look good. But for 20240708_111226.jpg the most part my truck is a hwy pounder. I wanted a little taller tire but didn't want to kill my mpg. I have Michelin's on both my vehicles and really like them. This is mine with 275/60/20. Wish the truck had come with 18 inch wheels but alas "no" and I'm too cheap to drop the extra money for smaller rims. Hope this helps in making a choice.

About to do the same but debating the 285/55. Can I get a front shot of yours to see the width? I just have the stock 265/60 geolanders. Just too thin and want to fill it out.

    Bigger rims and tires
I have the same ones and I haul a 3 horse bumper pull trailer and I'm putting a 5th wheel slap in plate for a gooseneck the trucks are awesome and well built I put air bags on it and it pulls like a dream the choice of the tire size and being a hwy pounder is perfect in my opinion it's not lifted but it's right height for me

    Any rubbing with the 275/60/20?
About to pull the trigger on some Duratracs in that size. Just don’t want to rub.

No problems at all with the 275/60/r20. To be fair I would like to go to 275/65/20 as others have said no problems with stock suspension but I like the ride as it is and feel going any bigger would put me into the E-range and cut my mpg. Just not willing at this point to pay more at the pump just for show. No offense to those with bigger tires. It's whatever make you happy.

Yeah I hear ya. I did the same small increment upsize on my Tacoma with the Duratracs which filled out my 3” lift nicely. But keeping the Tundra stock height for the ride comfort and mpg’s for the foreseeable future. I’m sure the duratracs will make my mpg’s take a hit but my driving habits are probably more the problem. But what can I say, it’s fun to drive and I got places to be. Lol
Getting them put on tomorrow. Hoping to take some before and after pics to share.

    Thanks for the feedback.
