Like the title says, in the market for some new tires. I currently have the BF Goodrich all terrain tires 285/55r20

Just looking for something with similar look but good highway driving. I don't do a lot of off roading but love the "mean" look of that type of tire.

What do yall have and may I see any pictures on the trucks if you may?

    Thanks!

in the same boat with same BFG 285/55/20, you must have TSS package. As do I. I was looking at coopers or falkens? Mine are at 48500 miles with about 7/32" left for tread. Pretty happy with given the amount of miles I have.

Go to tire rack or discount tire and put in size and read reviews. Its nice to have forum member inputs though.

OK well now side question, the toyota dealership has buy 3 get 1 sale going on now.

The 275/55/20 are almost $500 out the door cheaper for a set of 4 compared to 285/55/20...

Does anyone know how big of a difference 285 compared to 275? Would it make the truck look drastically different?

Popular options on here usually consist of Falken Wildpeaks, Toyo AT2/3, Nitto Terra/Trail/Ridge Grapplers, Michelin AT.

That dealership sale is only on stock sizes so here's the difference for you.

Well, I went with the falken wildpeak, install in a few days. $295 a tire with $80 off. Not too bad compared to some of the other options.

I had those on my Jeep. You will like them. I will likely get these again when my BFGs wears out.

    Nice I'm excited!
Took a while to actually press the "Submit Order" button. Went back and forth between these and the toyo at3 but ended up going with these due to like $250 difference. Money saved here can go to other things lol

I'm in a similar situation. Last week I purchased a set of used TSS rims with BFG KO2 285/55r20 tires to put on a limited. But the change in 1) road noise and 2) highway ride compared to the original OEM rims and tires of the limited was shocking. And very depressing since I like the look of an all terrain.

Lockmoster00, thanks for starting this thread and please post an update after you have had a chance of drive on the new tires! I'm very interested in the direct comparison of Falken Wildpeak AT3W and BFG KO2 for road noise and highway ride. If it worked out well for you, I'll probably make the same change.

Yea the bfg are all LT tires which is not necessary for half ton truck and they are heavy and stiff compared to oem. Now if i were you i would pick the p285/55r20 toyo AT3. I think their only 225 a tire right now. And probably just as good if not better than falken. And only weigh in at 45lb...

Thank you. I wasn't even thinking about the P versus LT rating. This is very helpful.
