Help! Currently I have a 2021 Toyota tundra crew max sr5 TRD. I’m looking to get 285/75/r18 Tires. Rims are 18 inch +12 offset 5.5 backspacing. They are the rock trix rims. I’m looking at Falken wildpeak at4 tires. Will this setup work with minimal rubbing???? I can move or trim plastic but don’t want to do any body chops. Please help!!!!

285/75-18 fit great with 2+ lift up front with stock +60 offset.

The offset you plan to run is going to cause rubbing. You will need to lose mudflaps and do a bumper spacer at minimum and probably need more massaging, potentially a BMC as that offset will kick out the tires considerably. +12 will have the wheels and tires stick out almost 2 inches more where they will catch bumper and back fenderwell at body mount.

Better offset for minimal headaches on fitment would be +25 to +40. Here is a nice tool to understand changes in wheel offset

I am running the 285/75/18’s on +25 offset rims with a 3/1.5 lift. Rubbing yes. BMC no. I rubbed on the front finder liner and the factory skid plate. I trimmed and took a heat gun to the front finder liner and chopped off a small amount of the tabs that stick out on the factory skid. No rubbing now. Get ready for 12-13 MPG. Also, Falken makes the new AT4’s in a 35x11.5 C rated tire. Should be a little shorter than a 285/75/18 and a little lighter.

Thanks for the response TwistedTad. Here’s my thought…. Your tire is essentially the same size (when you look at actual tire dimensions). If I use a +12 offset, won’t that push the tire out away from skid plate therefore no trimming on skid plate. Your offset compared to mine is roughly a half inch difference. I know I’m gonna have to do work to the plastic but that’s ok. I looked at the falken 35x11.50 and the 11.50 is actually 11.9 (looking at actual tire dimensions). Your thoughts are appreciated.

Yes @Baseball#22 . Your offset will be a little further away from the skid plate but I am not positive that you still will not contact it. Even if you do, it took me longer to take the skid plate off than it did to cut a little piece of the tabs. Easy job. If the 35x11.5 is actually at 11.9 then I would stick with the 285/75/18. My Kendra’s measure at 11.4 wide.

285/75/r18 Falken wild peak at4 tires. Fuel Shok 18 inch wheels +20 offset. 3/1 Readylift leveling kit. Minor rub front fender lining only while backing and turning. Still have to mold the plastic with heat gun. But that’s it! I was nervous about these tires because they measure true 35”. I think it turned out better and looks better than I expected! Also rides like stock, you’re just higher up.
