While looking for a set of floor mats in preparation for winter, I've found there are many options to choose from. I find it pretty cool how many OEM floor mat options are available for 2nd gens in addition to the standard carpet mats, but I guess that's the result of sticking with the same design for 15 years!

From my findings, there seem to be 4 different OEM options in total. Then you also have WeatherTek, Husky and probably a few others. TuxMat made some but I think they are no longer making them for the older models.

    OEM:

    PT926-0C193-20 (Carpet)
    s-l500.jpg

    PT908-0C160-0

    PT908-0C200-20

PU320-34114-02 (These came with my Sequoia along with the carpet mats, not sure if part# is accurate)
    s-l1600 (2).jpg

    PT908-0C201-20 (3rd row)

    PT908-0C082-02

    Aftermarket:

    Husky X-ACT Contour

    Husky Weatherbeater Floor Mats

Husky Laser Cut Fitted Floor Mats

    WeatherTech FloorLiner HP

    WeatherTech FloorLiner

    Did I miss any?

I think I'm leaning towards the OEM TRD Pro mats but I'm not 100% sure they will fit in my Limited.

Can anyone confirm if the TRD Pro floor mats fit in all 2nd gen models? They seem exact and I'm assuming they fit as the driver's floor mats connection point seems to be in the same spots. I like the standard PT908-0C160-0 but I don't think Toyota sells them anymore so it would be an ebay purchase by the looks of it.

Get 3D Maxpider 1st and 2nd row mats along with their cargo mat and thank me later. Much better than WeatherTech’s ……these don’t slip on the carpet.

I second this. We've been really pleased with ours as well.

I will third it! I actually now have them in the wife’s Genesis and the kids vehicles as well.

Can't speak to the other brands, but I have the 3d maxspider set. I don't know the composition of the materials, but it's not rubber on the surface. In this thread, the images where they look dirty... When they look like this, they are beyond getting them to look new again. You might be able to use a little mild detergent, scrub and vacuum them to get them someone back, but mine have never been that dirty(yet) they already have markings that can't be removed. Is it terrible? No. If it were a pure rubber surface though, it would be much different.

For the rear trifold mat, look closely at farnsrocket's pics. It doesn't lay flat! There are visible lumps. Kind of disappointing. I paid less than I would have for weatherteck, but they still weren't cheap for the whole set. I don't "think" they are made of some cardboard/paper composite material with a protective surface, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out they were.

Last time we were on vacation, I spilled a large amount of soda into the passenger side. The mat retained all of the liquid until we reached our destination and didn't leak out(though some made it over the barrier, not the mats fault at all though). Good on that. However, getting the soda out of the mats wasn't as simple as getting a rag and sopping up the soda, then getting a wet rag and cleaning up the residue. It took several wet rag and cleaning cycles to get the stickiness out of the mat.

In short, they protect very well. They don't move around. They aren't as easy to clean as I would like. They are susceptible to permanent scuffs from simple dirt, not to an extreme degree, but more so than should be at the prices in my opinion. The trifold section looks cheap given that it doesn't lay flat.

Again, I don't have experience with the other options, so I don't know how picky I'm being to be frank.

Tip for those with mid captains seats. Since the mid row mat is made for bench seat models, simply remove the center console when putting the mats down. It's only a few screws and is super easy. Others have recommended cutting the mats, but I wouldn't. Outside of the risk of messing them up, you lose coverage.

I don't agree with some of what you said. Mine have been pretty dirty and I have used a good wheel cleaner type spray and scrubbed them down and power washed them and they look great.
I don't have any markings that won't come off either.
As far as the back mat not being flat, I see what you are talking about with my back mat, there is a slight wave in it, but that is because I keep a big plastic truck box on the left side.....I guess it must have squished the mat down on the left. Other than that, my mat lays perfectly flat.
I used to have Weathertech's in my other vehicles and after having these MaxPiders, I would never go back to them.

Ok, good to know. I guess anyone buying these that have the same thoughts, this would be comforting. I do think rubber would be easier to clean, but I didn't think about using a wheel cleaner on them.

On my back mat, mine had waves day one and never settled. I didn't put anything on them for a while to try and let it rest into place. Then I tried to put some things in certain places to train the material, which didn't help either. Again, this is more nit picky, as they function just fine. I really like how easy it is to fold up the front two sections behind the third row when we put those seats up. I don't remember any of the other options working as well for that purpose, which is why I went with these.
