2nd gen led taillights???

Need help deciding on led taillights for my truck any suggestions?

 

I bought knock off spyder LED rear tail lights. They looked really good but only lasted 9 months and the LEDs went out on one side. Ebay only covers 60 days and doesn't sell them in single replacements. Found a stock looking set that I tinted myself with wrap that use incandecent bulbs. Don't want to go thru the LEDs going out again. Spyder branded are better quality I'm sure but I have heard the same thing happening to them. Nothing is worse than seeing LEDs burnt out or flickering. It looks stupid lol.

 

If I may ..having the same dilemma cannot figure which way to go. I saw some super stroked
sweet tinted headlights on here but we are on tails it is a repeated problem with led

 

Went with these from Spyder, 3 years and no problems (knock) Led with black housing .

 

I really like my Spyders as well. The fit is great

Got these on ebay uses incandecent. The brake light looks really cool when lit up too.

 

Gino, I will say I like the new one's . Maybe a swap out of head's & tails down the road.

Thanks guys that was my fear of them going out I really like the new spyder but not a fan of black housing really wish they make em in red

 

Drumzdj has red spyder LED tail lights scroll up on this thread he posted them. I am finding myself liking the stock look more and more. My preference.

 

Yeah that stock look with some smoke on them should look good I've seen a couple on the net I think I'll go that way thanks everyone

 

I'd suggest wrapping them. I tried the vht nightshade spray paint and didn't have the patience for it so it came out looking completely black. And wrap can be peeled off easily and you could find a shop to wrap them for probably pretty cheap professionally. You can also pick whatever darkness you want.

 

I was told some time in June for these . Possibly more towards the end.

I might go for the new Spyder's if they come in a smoke. I did also kick around the smoked red one's as well
