Hi,everyone just wanted to give people a heads up on your bed if you live in the salt zone take it from me get your welder ready.I found my rot 1 year ago started to see some rust around my bed bolts I had a bed liner that I did cheap stuff did some investigation found that the seam sealer fails and gets moisture underneath, and rots everything out from underneath not from the top doesn't matter if you have a tonneau cover or not it rots from the bottom up,I took my bed off last year and por 15 my bed and frame of my truck, and had to cut section out and weld steel plates,if you can go under and scrape that sealer off and por 15 what you can,and if you strip the torque bolts like I did weld a nut on top they will be 100 percent easier to get loose,it's not will it rot it's when it will bad design, can't we just weld instead of seam sealer everything love my truck but some stuff is not that hard thanks everyone

I am going to take my truck into a body shop soon for this same reason he said he saw this alot with tundra he pointed out that other trucks have a rubber like seal between all the cross braces that Tundras do not have in between the bed and the brace itself that's where I have found that all the rest starts but after I get my rust fixed with steel well then I'm going to do the same thing you just did then have the bed done with line-x

I don't have any pic, just go under where the bolts that hold your bed on peel back the seam sealer and check for rot

    Thanks.
Looks pretty similar to mine, although I don't have any holes yet. The bars from the 5th wheel have more rust on mine I think. And the bolts have rust as well, something yours don't appear to have.
Would love to see pictures of process of the repair if you are able to.
Did you look for a used bed to just change out?
I've been playing with the idea of trying to find a 2014+ bed.

Pretty sure it would work. Same frame but you would need a bumper to match or aftermarket.

Found several just yesterday looking at car-part.com
Even think there was one up in Indiana. Might not be much better than the one you have.
There was one in Orlando I might look into when I get back home. About 2,5 hour drive for me, so might be worth it.
