I was convinced to get old man emu 3” front and rear lift over a level. Wanted better ride quality, better suspension, etc. but I’m scared it’s going to be too high.

anyone have any pics of 3” front AND 3” rear lifts? Please help ease my mind

The lift itself wont be too high. 3" is common for most of us. The question is.....what is your wheel and tire setup?

Okay thanks for your input, I don't like huge wheels and offsets, I like a lower more "filled out" look, but stock height is waaaay too low. Was driving on a job site yesterday and was scraping mud up front underneath haha

I was thinking something like this

    https://www.customwheeloffset.com/w...42823/2014-toyota-tundra-fuel-vector-bilstein

I like 20's with a 33 or 35'' tire I think. Trying to fit something where I won't have to chop a bunch to prevent rubbing.

    what do you think?

3” front and 3” rear? Why are you wanting to raise the rear so much?

A stock tire is a 32. A 33 will look small with a 3 inch. My truck has a 3 front and 2 rear. I run an 18 inch wheel with 0 offset and 285/70/18's which is right at a 34.

My mechanic convinced me a 3'' lift is the smallest lift you can go and OME is good quality. I didn't want to do spacers, leveling kit, wanted a good new suspension lift. Also I tow boat, and trailers for work, and like the look of a slight rake. I don't want the rear sagging to the ground whenever I pull a trailer. but was worried 3 in the rear would look wonky. Guess ill find out

I love the look of that, thanks for the pics! makes me feel much better, the 3'' doesn't look ridiculous at all like I was thinking. I think 34's are the golden size

and you have 2'' in the rear, so 3'' will give me a slight rake look I'm looking for I believe.

It's hard to tell with the pics but I do have a slight rake with the 2 in the rear.

OME lifts are good, install and done, ride firmer and really help with off road, towing, hauling. With a 3 inch lift go ahead and get UCAs, you will be much happier having them and so will your truck.

There is an entire thread in the suspension forum here on OME lift with pics and good info.

WOW this is the absolute exact look I'm going for.. is your rear a true 3'' or just front 3'' and the rear a lower amount?

Also what size tires and did you have to trim at all?

Awesome, thanks for the good info! also pardon my ignorance but what exactly should I be looking for in aftermarket UCAs ( stronger, different size to accommodate a new tire of angles of components after lifting? etc.) and what would that help with when getting a lift?

You just need adjustable UCA for the higher lift. Check out the toytec website, they sell the OME kit and offer UCAs as an option that are adjustable with factory style balls

Mine is on a true 3in on all four corners. I ran the OME lift on my last truck. This one I am running just their rear springs with with coach builder +1 shackles.

Are you going to tow or haul with this truck? If your going for utility and not just aesthetics then you want a true 3" on all for corners. Otherwise you are losing payload and towing capability.

Wow that looks great. Seeing your truck on 3'' makes me realize that's not too tall at all, and I'm just not the biggest fan of monster wide, offset, wheels. Yours looks fantastic with that height even with stock wheels and more meaty tires. Ill be towing a boat and other trailers, not every week but here and there. So ill go ahead and stick with the OME 3''. Id rather have the capability at least

Thank you. I am running 285 65 R20. The tires are 1/3" taller then 35s and a inch narrower. I am running spacers for now. You will either need spacers or new rims to keep the tires from rubbing at full turn. I will be going to an 18" rim when I get my next set of tires.

Just FYI sometimes you will need to do a body mount chop to get the tires to fit. The chop is not a big deal. I think people on here have had them done for $200. It's pretty easy to do if you want to save on labor.
