3" level and 295/70r18’s- too squatty or nah?

My mechanic put the leveling kit on with both spacers without asking me. So it’s a 3" level (instead of the 2.5" level that I wanted).

Does it look too squatty or just right? With the 34.3" tires I think it’s not terrible. No rubbing at all either if y’all were wondering.

Debating on putting 1" blocks in the back since it’s a cheap and easy fix.IMG_2233.jpgIMG_2236.jpg

Im not a fan of reverse rake. Just lift the rear. Block will work, but not ideal. If you tow/haul check out RAS (active suspension). Lifts about an inch and helps with squat when hauling and towing, works as they advertise.

Good to know! Suspension probably be worth it!

The front is just 1/2” taller than the front after measuring. But I do like truly leveled better.

I had 3" in the front and 1.5" in the back for a perfect level truck (2018 CM).
Coincidentally I also asked the installers to do the 2.5" in the front and 1" in the back, and when I picked it up, I saw that they had installed the shims also for the total 3"/1.5".

Nice truck. I'd personally bring the back up. Especially if you tow/haul.

Do you have any pictures of how close your 295s are to your upper control arms? I have a 2012 with 295s and it came with wheel spacers. I'm hoping to take them off but it looks like I may rub.

Lol I don’t feel so bad now. Glad it has happened to someone else!

That set up looks good on that truck!

Thanks, I don’t haul that often- probably less than 10 times a year I’ll pull a small camper, a trailer for materials or a machine rental.

I can get pictures tomorrow and post them

Upper control arm is close- can’t fit my finger in between there, but doesn’t touch the tire.

Another thing that makes me nervous is that little arm that attaches to the sway bar, but two mechanics said it’s fine. ‍♂️

I will also say that the ride really isn’t noticeably different than before. Only thing is a new hum that goes in and out. I heard it when the old basic tires were on it too.

I’ve always liked the look of a leveled truck with oversized tires, but it makes me nervous . I like everything solid as a rock and worry free. Would be funny if I go back to stock after a few months. IMG_2247.jpg IMG_2248.jpg

Your truck is an 08, so good chance your rear leaf springs are getting tired and have less arch in them than they use too. Could do new HD leafs instead of block. Get some load carrying back and raise the rear at the same time. They run $500 or so a pair though, so not as cheap as the blocks.

As mentioned, bring the rear up. Did he not know that the front spacers are not a 1 to 1 lift ratio?

I second, eh or third, do the rear. Yes, that UCA is real close to that tire. It wouldn't hurt to run a 1' hub centric spacer. I am.:anonymous:

I vote too squatty. Ill bet the front would look better with less lift

That does exactly like it sounds like it does? Pushes the wheel and tire out 1". Easy to put on right?

Yes. I have them on my 2019 and my 2000. Easy to put on, may introduce rubbing at the inner fender liner in the front and rear of the fender well as they increase the scrub radius of the tire. I'm running stock tire size currently with no lift and have no rubbing. But your larger tires may rub with them.

Obviously he can’t run those, but ones with the correct bolt pattern for his truck
