Ok guys not sure if anyone else has actually done the swap yet but I couldn’t find anything so I just went for it. Found a complete 32 gallon with everything included ( pump, lines , level sender etc). Dropped the old tank and everything plugged right up correctly. Used some blocks on one end and a floor jack on the other and was able to get it up in there by myself. The larger tank has three straps and the smaller only has two. While trying to put the straps back in the original location on the truck I realized you have to move the middle strap to the forward location (not used on the 22 gallon but it is there in the frame) and it will work with the new tank. Then just order the correct middle strap from one of the online Toyota shops. Other than that everything worked as it should. The only caveat I have found is the DTE or distance till empty shows I’ll only have about 260 miles when I fill up however on my last tank I reset the trip computer and went 360 miles. Going off of the fuel level meter everything is correct filled up on the E Line and it took 26 gallons so I appear to have that 6 gallon reserve everyone else with the 32 gallon tanks are reporting. Just thought I would post as I know there are a lot of people with the 22 gallon tank that tow things and really want to upgrade. This is confirmation everything works but you may have to ignore the trip computer and just go off of the fuel gauge. For me this was acceptable but may not be for you. FWIW I talked to Toyota to see if they could flash the computer or something but they said no.
I’m a SR5 getting 13mpg 4” lift with 35’s on 22’s. My MPG hasn’t changed since upgrading the tank so maybe there is still a chance that the trip computer will continue to adjust upwards and relearn? I will report back to keep you all posted.

Computer probably has to go through fuel tank to calibrate. 360 miles range sounds about right if you're getting 13 mpg.

13 mpg on a 22 ? I get about the same mpg with my old V8 / similar lift and tires. Do you tow a lot ?

Pictures of the tank, assuming it’s just a fuel pump wire harness connector and the straps and fuel fitting quick connect? Have a 2023 SR this fuel range is poor especially when towing?

Yes 13. I have not recalibrated for the tire size so my speed is off by about 5mph at 60mph.

Of the fittings for the wiring and the quick connect for the fuel hose connected right up with no changes necessary.

Can you provide the OEM part numbers for the straps and any other part numbers that may help us out? For any of us looking to do this in the future, im hunting around for a tank online but no luck

Part number of the tank is in the picture I posted. I don’t have the part number for the middle strap yet, running it with just the front and back now but I have an appointment at Toyota next week and will post the part number then… that’s it nothing else needed

I know I'm necro-ing this up a bit. But I'm looking at doing this mod myself. Here's the chart with all the part numbers.

Did the fuel gauge ever re calibrate? Or still shows empty while there’s plenty of fuel left ?

@cccasti3 any update on if it re-calibrated? That's my only reservation with this mod.

Actually doing the math on his MPG 13 MPG with a 6 gallon reserve is accurate so it seems like it re-calibrated correctly.

I just ordered me one on eBay for about $600 after tax for the full assembly.

Was that shipped? I've been looking for one and the only options I've found have been for local pickup only in MS.

Lol I bought one of the ones from that scrapper. It's local pickup in MS. But it's only 6 hours one way for me.
I'll take a vacation day at work. Take the RAV4 Hybrid and be out a tank of gas. But $600 plus gas vs $1300 from Toyota. I'll take it.

Without checking if I remember when I looked at the trims. Starts at the SR5 with TRDOR package and up.

I definitely re-read OP's post and I read it wrong. Sounds like the truck isn't recalibrating for DTE.
Maybe if I find a tuner they can set it. Once it's installed I'll check with some dealers around me and see who would change it in the ECU.

Nope, my 23 TRD has the small tank.
You need the optional deluxe electronics package to get the larger tank. BSM, more front and rear sensors etc.
