Just installed the ready lift 3/2 levelling kit and was a little disappointed that my tires rub. Truck looks great but still kinda choked. Any simple solutions besides cutting or getting smaller tires? Maybe my offset sticks out too far?

Thanks. I’ll look into it. I’m loving the truck so far. I’ve had lots of comments on the 1794 leather. Nicest truck I’ve ever had and I’ve had lots.

    1) where are you rubbing?
    2) Rub in reverse only or also in drive?
    3) what is the offset of your wheels?

    ^^^This.

@Matguy34 We need more info to be able to assist effectively. Also, what size are your tires? I saw that they are 33", but are they 275/70R18, are they 33x12x20, etc.? Need the full tire size info to get an accurate idea of the rub issue.

check with an alignment specialist first. They were telling me I needed a BMC and I adjusted the caster and that fixed the problem.

33" tires (so long as they aren't super wide) should not need an alignment to fit. My guess is that the tires are either significantly wider than stock as well as taller, or that the lower offset of the aftermarket wheels are the source of the rub.

For example, I'm have stock suspension with 275/70R18 (discount tire measures these as a little large at 33.43") tires on +25mm wheels and I have some minor rubbing. I had to remove the front air dam/splash guard under the bumper. After that I only have a little rub on the mud flaps if I reverse and turn more than about 75%. A little heat to mold the flaps, or trimming them and I'd be golden. My guess is that OP has a lower offset and it's causing additional rubbing, or that the air dam/splash guard under the bumper hasn't been removed.

What’s your offset? I had a 3/2 and 33” tires with no issues. I only had to do a BMC when I went to 35”. The wheels I have on that truck have a +1 offset.

as many others have asked; what is the offset on those wheels? i am guessing it is near zero.

i fit 34" tires with minimal plastic trimming, but i also went with a wheel with +20 offset.

here is what i did to eliminate any rubbing:

Need answers to the questions asked above. Stock tires are about 32”, so your 33” tires are only 1/2” taller on top and 1/2” on bottom. They should easily fit with no lift. Like others asked, what’s the offset and tire width?

I went from stock to LT275/70r18 on stock suspension and no rubs anywhere. Added Bilstein 5100’s up front set to the lowest lift, just under an inch, got rubbing on stock skid plate. Installed the RCI skid, no more rubbing. So in addition to the suggestions above, I’d check the skid plate too.

Rubbing on the plastic insert inside the front bumper. -24 offset rims. 275/70/18. 33.2 inch tires. Very minimal rub but still annoying. I think it only rubs turning in reverse but I’ll have to test that later on today.

Looking at the pics, the bumper shims will take care of it. Yes, you can install the shims by doing one side at a time and you do not have to remove the bumper.

Update. After another drive I’ve noticed it rubs slightly when turning but way worse in reverse

As others have said, the coach builder bumper shims will give you an additional 1/2” clearance.

Solid info. As others said, that -24 offset is what's getting you. For that size tire your sweet spot would be a +20 to +30 offset. Trimming, bumpers shims, or wheels that don't poke as much are your options.

I just found out the tires are +0 offset. They barely rub but it’s embarrassing loud in reverse. Going to try the bumper ships this week

Remove the bolts that hold the plastic liner on at the front bumper. Push the liner in and redrill some holes. Push the liner in and bolt it down. That's what I did and problem solved. For the rear you may need to remove the mud flaps.
