Hey everyone, the internet tells me lots of things (and I dont trust it, but trust you folks). I am looking at a set of method 314's for my future 22 hybrid. The 25 offset only comes in a 7.5 width and I already have a set of 35x12.5x17 toyo at3's from my 19 tundra build. Am I asking for trouble running that wide of a tire on a 7.5 rim? Most of the wheels that I like are low offset and I do not want a ton of poke on them, so trying to figure out if these wheels will work. Thanks!

too narrow. Have seen lots of 12:50 width tires on 8 inch or larger, never 7.5. Rule of thumb is not more than 4 inches difference in rim and tire width. And that would be more for off road use, the narrower wheels help keep the tire bead in aired down situations. But Ive run plenty of 1250 tires on 8 inch wheels, including 35s off road and street. Check your particular tires however, they usually list what rim widths to use in the tire specs.

If you look at the manufacture's website aka Toyo, look at the specific tire 35x12.5r17, it will tell you the approved rim width ranges for that tire.
In your case it is 8.0-10.0-10.5 inches.
Therefore, although you might be fine and never air down your tires etc, Most major tire shops will not mount your wheels and tires.
They do not want the risk or the liability
