Anyone have 37 inch tires on a 6 inch lifted 2022+ Tundra? The available kits say "minimal trimming required" to fit 37's. Also, the kits say "20 inch or larger wheels required". I have factory 20" TRD wheels already, and even the guy at the local 4x4 shop was unsure they would work. He may be just wanting to sell some wheels too, though. If anyone has any pictures, I'd love to see them! Looks certainly matter to an extent, but I'm more of a practical guy that sees putting skinnys on a 24 inch wheel for an off road vehicle a little senseless. Bigger tire/ground clearance is the name of my game. Thanks in advance!

i’m sure it’s easily possible with the correct wheel backspacking.

Then do a 2" lift...? ;) No, seriously...

On the stock 8" rim the only spec'd 37 would be a 11.5 width... which is rare. 8.5"-9" rims with +25 to +35mm offset are probably best.

I have been gone from this forum for over 6 months now. Long story short is I got banned and aggravated that admin would not explain why or respond to me so I left. I will be posting a new thread about that soon. However, checked out the site today and saw this post and it reminded me why I joined in the first place. To look for new ideas for my truck and to help others looking to do similar things to their trucks. So if you see my avatar and past posts you will see/know I have a 2022 Tundra SR5 crewmax with a 6” rough country lift and 37” NITTO ridge grapplers 37x11.5x20 on my stock 20” tires I actually like. There are MANY haters on this forum that will crap on a RC or a 6” lift saying RC is crap and no one needs a 6” lift. My answer has always been it’s my money and I will do what I want with it!! Why do people get so worked up on what other people do to their rides? I am not a fan of low riders, but I appreciate the time and money they put into their rides. We should all enjoy each other’s appreciation for custom vehicles. Sorry if long post but will try to answer any questions you will probably have as not certain if I will keep coming back depends on how/if admin responds to my banned post I will do later today. I will be the first to say RC if NOT a BDS or Kelderman or the many other quality lifts available out there. However, RC is the only people that had a 6” lift when got my truck last year and still to this date I haven’t seen another company come out with one yet. So yes I put a RC lift on my truck and I tell you what, I do have other vehicles I drive during the week but I usually drive the Tundra couple days a week, and I absolutely love it!! I love the ride height with the lift and tires and wish I could go to a 8” lift with 40” tires, maybe one day. It rides great. I actually have this set up on my 2022 Tundra and drive it!! See my past post pics. It does have a very very slight more stiffness over stock but I am hear to say I am impressed with how good it rides. Initially it had a very slight rub only when the wheel was turned all the way to the right or left, but that was fixed with a small 1/4 spacer on each tire. No cutting at all. Of course their are always drawbacks to changes but the only thing I see for me is gas Mileage. You have to pay to play I say! Didn’t even mean to rhyme that well!! I do have a pedal commander always set on sport+4 and a jb4 always set on map5 using e30 mix so the lift and tires aren’t the only thing affecting gas, but it is around 10.5 mpg so if you can’t afford that don’t go big! And for the off-road guys I previously had “discussion” with, your point of no one needs a 6” lift to be able to climb over anything is a moot point because this is my ride and I love riding at a high height. To me this feels GREAT! Stop worrying about my lifted ride or even looking at it if it bothers you so much!! Ok, rant off….like my good buddy JW once said: “people keep asking me if I’m back……and now yeah I’m thinking I’m back!!”!! I hope I helped you in making a decision on the larger lift and tires and we Should all be here to help one another!! Pic of my lifted beast below: (p.s. as of right now no one makes a speedometer “fixer” so you will be a little off I figured 9% as have a few police buddies and we checked via radar):

Yeah.... I'm not here to win approval myself either. I just like big trucks, so if I want a big truck, I'll have a big truck (so long as the money keeps rolling in ) Thanks for the pic! That's the look I am looking for! I'm not stupid rich enough to take a brand new $65k truck rock crawling anytime soon, but I do love the look of a lifted truck!

No BS either, almost every single time I stop at the gas station or go to a restaurant someone will compliment me on the truck if I am in it. I don’t drive it every day as I have other vehicles, but my Tundra is one of my favs!! Good luck to you and I always say….lifted it as high as your pockets let ya!! I really wanted one of these A.L.L. (Any level lifts) but they only make them for f250 & f350 & f450 but they are SWEET. you can lower it to stock height or raise to 12plus inches. Air ride with controls etc. if you never seen them google it they are bad A#%!! Almost bought a dang f250 just to get their lift. They aren’t cheap like $25-35k for the loft set up depending on what you get done but to me this is the rolls Royce for truck lifts. I give them that much. There are plenty of people that hate the high trucks but I love em!! :sawzall:

I get a compliment almost daily as it is, myself! So far all I've done is a Prinsu roof rack with 42 inch Cali Raised light bar, then the hidden winch mount by Fab Fours along with another 32 inch light bar in it and a HF Badland Apex 12k lb winch. I have just messed around with the winch so far, but as of now it has lived up to all the hype! Bought the winch on sale for $550.00. It's absolute insanity that Warn sells a comparable winch for around 2k dollars!

Believe it or not found and bought several things on Amazon of all places. Here is the light strip. There are many different ones. Some like mine you can change colors and others you have a pick the one stationary color it comes in:

    https://www.amazon.com/Lights-Flexible-Decorative-Waterproof-Colorful/dp/B0BSFZT139?crid=2HAQUP5JZAOFX&keywords=hood+light+strip&qid=1683344613&sprefix=hood+%2Caps%2C148&sr=8-8

(p.s. I have two sets of these to make it all around the front stash).

Makes me wonder why we have to pay such insane amounts for LED light bars when they can be sold for this price! Granted, they don't put out near the light, but you get the idea. Thank you! That looks like it should cost MUCH more, but I'll take it! Lol

Now the grill light bars, they are not cheap like you said. This is what I have and I bought two sets and split up some to fill in the grill completely. The owner told me not to as he was worried it would make it over heat and block airflow, super nice guy btw, but I have been running these for a year now and no issue at all!!

Last is the roof rack and that was the most expensiviest (hahaha from a show I watch) light set up I have. Paid place called evil manufacturing (found on Google) to custom make the roof rack then filled with Rigid spot lights. Bright as F but total costs with install etc was over $7k for the entire roof rack. Gots to pay to play they say :D

Oh forgot the panel. This is what I have to run em all. I do have some rear lights but not posting on those yet as work in process (trying out some different ones):

There are a lot of different kinds of these panels and yea some much better, I just preferred this one as can set up different patterns to strobe, change colors, etc. lots of flexibility with their app!!

Ok done my posting for the night. Time for this old timer to hit the head and bed. Hope I helped a little. You don’t have to use any of the ones I do, but if you like any you can use their names and google for different brands and pick the one you like. AND for all the haters, which inevitably there will be many saying too many lights too gaudy or whatever, my truck/my money/ and i absolutely LOVE IT!! Thank you! I build decks and carports for a living. I gave up on robbing banks years ago, so it may take me a while to get all this! Lol

I was there once so I know the grind/deal, trust me!! I am just fortunate enough now that I was able to retire early and just started doing/buying things I could not before. Took a while and went thru A LOT of struggles but feels good to finally be here. Build those decks/carports to the best of your ability and always treat customers with respect (even the ass#%^* ones and I know there are plenty of those as dealt with many myself) and even when no one else is paying any attention still give it 100% and it will work out and good things will come your way. I believe in Karma and obviously I am an optimist. Good luck with your build and post some stuff as you move along thru it!!!
(Ok i really need to hit the head and bed now)

I have a RC Lift with the coilovers and 8 stage adjustable dampening. It rides smooth. RC had a bad rep back some time ago but they definitely stepped their game up. I went the unconventional route with wheels and tires 24 inch wheels… but man I get so many compliments. Every gas station or place I stop people come and talk to me about it. Even when I’m getting a cup of coffe on my way to work I’ve been approached. I think a lot of times the photos on the internet don’t do these trucks with lifts and aftermarket wheels justice. They look so bad ass in person. People are always going to hate no matter how you customize your truck. Even if you left it stock, someone would say you should have lifted it . All good! Let people be miserable…I don’t even argue with them because it’s a waste of time and energy. Customize your vehicle the way you like it. If it makes you happy, it’s good to go in my eyes.

You couldn't be more right. I am an AA (Alcoholic's Anonymous). For those of us that have been sober for many years, we do not continue to go to meetings for a few reasons. First is to give back to others what was so freely given to us, and another big reason we keep going to meetings is to learn how to deal with life on life's terms. That includes dealing with miserable a$$hole people. You can't change anything outside of yourself, therefore you can never change them. It's best to just let them be and continue to keep on keeping on with what you're doing in life. If they want to hate, let them! In the end the only person they harm is themselves!

If you don’t mind me asking, how many years sober? One of my closest friends I have in this world & someone I would do just about anything for has been in AA since we ETS’d (Army slang for end of time served for those reading and don’t know) around almost 20 years now, and he has never been a better person/man/father/husband than he is now/today. Thank God he started going and continued to do so or I know in my heart he was burning his candle too close to the fire and didn’t have much time left. He tells me about all these inspiring stories (generic details no specifics) about how AA has helped so many and change their lives for the better. Keep up the fight it never ends! I have my own demons and NEVER talk about it but since you opened up I will do so as well. I use to be embarrassed to even talk about it, maybe you the same way with AA (?), but I have PTSD and get meds monthly from the VA and see a mental health professional they like to be called now regularly and like you and my friend with AA, without that help I was…..well let’s just say a different person. I think we all have our own issues but some of us (like some of these negative posters) just have not got the right help yet. That’s why I am so nice to them (I am in a couple threads where there really are some childish members) and even in those I wish the best to them. They probably don’t even realize they need the help. I was eventually going to start a thread somewhere on this site to talk to vets with issues and possibly PTSD to not be embarrassed and seek help just hard to do you know? Started typing something up then got too personal or emotional and had to stop. Maybe this will push me to finish. There is this one guy on here in another thread I’m in that even started making fun of my dead wife literally asked if she died because she was fat, but even he won’t push me to the ole me or to become an ass like he has shown himself to be. Society in general has just changed so much since the 60’s & 70’s & 80’s. Now everyone is all about themselves only and what you can do for them and how fast. Man i just realized its 4:30am and you got me going off topic and hijacking’s this nice young man’s thread!

It's actually my thread, so hijack away!

My sobriety date is 29 November 2019. If you would have told me back in 2019 that I would own a construction business and be driving a $65,000.00 truck, I'd have told you that I want some of the stuff that you must be on! As far as being shy about it, I refuse to be. God did for me what I could not do for myself. ANY TIME that I can give Him the credit, I do so! I was out giving a job quote to a man and woman today, and somehow I worked it into the conversation that I am a recovered alcoholic/addict. After I left, we went back and forth on how wonderful God is, then he came back with telling me that he had his own drinking problem. I pointed out the obvious that my true purpose may not to be building his deck, but to help lead him in the direction to get the help he needs. There is absolutely NO shame in saying "This is bigger than me." In fact, my willingness to finally get fundamentally honest with myself and admit that is why I am even on here talking about tricking out this awesome new truck! I am one of those "hopeless case" alcoholics. If not for my family, I would have been homeless for YEARS. I had to detox from alcohol because every time I tried to quit I would have seizures, CRAZY hallucinations (both audible and visual). I even went running into the ER at the hospital screaming at them to cut the spider out of my throat! I had a doctor tell me he was "this close" to giving me a tracheotomy! I drank round the clock. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 1/2 gallon of vodka daily.

Swallow that foolish pride and open up, brother. You will be absolutely amazed at how many people suffer the same as you, and you will be further amazed at how it helps both you AND them to just confront it! Who cares what people think about you?! I risk losing jobs because of my openness, but honest to God, all it has ever done is SECURE jobs for me!!! That isn't my intention, but it is certainly a good side effect! In my experience, people notice and appreciate your honesty! Will the day ever come that I lose a job doing what I do? More than likely, yes! But brother..... the good that has come from my openness FAR exceeds any one job. Can you really place a dollar amount on another person's life? I argue that no, you cannot. It is also very therapeutic for me as well! In my humble opinion, it's a win/win situation! Knowing what I know comes with a great responsibility. I happen to know that no matter how far down the wrong path you have gone, there is STILL HOPE so long as you still have a breath of air left in you. Knowing that, I cannot keep that knowledge to myself. It is LITERALLY people's lives on the line. Just by planting that seed in someone's life, even if they do nothing with it right now, it could save them one day. When I die and see my Maker face to face, I will not have to gaze upon in with disgrace in my eyes. I will be able to thank Him for sparing a wretched drunk such as I and tell Him with all honesty that I tried to share everything that He did for me with the rest of His children also. I consider myself nothing short of a resurrected person. I came from the ashes of death and I live once again, all because I finally gave up trying to carry the burden myself and I threw it onto His very willing and able shoulders. As soon as I was able to remove my own selfish will and submitted to His, my life changed. So strange how much one person can benefit from surrendering one's own will. Christ is Lord, my brother. I owe Him all.
