3D Print - new fuse cover for fuse tap add-a-circuit

I just installed a dash cam and I used two add-a-circuit fuse taps in the passenger side fuse box below the glove box for switched and constant +12V. The OEM fuse box cover won't go back on since it has zero clearance to the fuses. This new cover gives you room for the add-a-circuit taps. You really don't need a cover here but it does contain the fuse map and I have included a file to print to add that to the new cover. So, why not?

Is this something you would consider selling? would be awesome, especially for people who dont have a printer...

 

Thanks so much for sharing this file! It looks like there are 2 parts on top that are floating a couple millimeters above the body. Does anyone better at computers than me have the technical know-how to fix this? It there a downloadable software where I can fix it myself before print? Thanks again, I don't want to sound like a choosy beggar!

 

Not sure what you mean, I just downloaded the posted file and had a look at it and I am not seeing anything like that. Just print it. There are two 1mm "threads" attached to each side of the spring tab to keep it from falling over whislt printing before it gets joined the top. This to avoid needing supports to print. It is in the instructions... just cut those after you print it.

 

Ahh ok! I'm not well versed in these things so I was going to have a local 3d print shop print it out and that was their note. Thanks again for putting this together. It's exactly what I need!

I'll PM you a STP file they should be able to use or whatever version you would like.

 

OK, I added a little filler to those areas and reposted the file. It printed fine before so it should also print fine, or better, now.
