Keeping a running list of 3PMSF tires for those who may be interested or whom it may help. Cheers.

Some of these are less truck tires and more car/crossover tires in case anyone is doing research for their significant other’s vehicle or second vehicle.

There are some tires that only have the 3PMSF symbol in certain sizes as well as some variations of the tires above that are very similar to the ones listed.

Feel free to chime in with any I missed and I’ll add to the list. Let’s keep this Mountain Snowflake specific, not M+S only tires. Thanks!

Some on your list are only rated 3peak snowflake in certain sizes. Cooper Disco’s in 275/70r18 yes, in 295/70r18 no (or at least that used to be the case).

I have the Cooper at3 4s currently. Great snow and wet tire but won’t see the warranty mileage wise. Had the Geolander atgo 15 before. Will be going back to the Yokahama tire next and was pleased with them. Thanks for that list.

I think I may have noted that some are only in certain sizes, thanks again! :)

Thanks for the feedback about them! I’ve never run either. I’ve had the Hankook, Falken, Cooper, Goodyear, Toyo, and some others but it’s hard to compare over the years to be honest.

Just ordered Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT’s. Getting them put on Saturday, but I believe they are 3 peak rated from what I’ve read. Only certain sizes, including 275/70/18

As an avid snow skier who averages 50+ ski days a season these tires have served me well. I have these on my Tundra and on the Rav4 and I have no complaints with them on either vehicle. Although these have proven their worth nothing beats a set of cyped Toyo Open County M+S on the Tundra in the snow. Just flat couldn't get stuck

I don’t believe that tire is 3PMS stamped, amigo. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Thank you!

This is the Les Schwab house brand. I am likely to go with them as 100% of our driving is around their shops. My wife drives by 5 per day going to work. It is piece of mind for us.

I never understood this one. The LTX M/s "looks" more aggressive yet they share the same tread depth. it is not 3peak rated however while this AT2 is I wish Michelin would make their LTX m/s with a like a 16/32 tread instead of 11-12/32. Oh well.

The LTX M/S are great in the snow. Not sure why they don’t get the rating.

I’m not overly impressed with the AT2, but I get them pretty cheap and they wear pretty good for me. If I had to buy a set today at full price it wouldn’t be these tires. That’s for sure.

I'm about to experience my first snow this winter with the LTX M/S. (This set will have <7500 mi on them). When I got my 2014, that set had 40k on them. First snowfall over 6" I slid through a traffic light (I drive carefully in the snow) and I turned around, went back home and ordered KO2s that afternoon. Not a knock on the LTX M/S, but just the mileage of the tire. Not sure much would perform properly in those conditions w/ 40k on the clock. This set is already light years better in the rain than I remember the first set being.

They don’t seem to do good in any deep snow. Hard pack and ice have been good from what I have been told.

My tires get down to 6/32nds and become worthless out in my area. Try to get them at that depth in the beginning of summer, but my luck is never that good.

I believe the blue mountain symbol on discounttire/americastire just means “All Terrain” type tire not 3pms

Thank you! I must have missed it on Michelin’s website somehow. Appreciated and added.

EDIT: pending, I still believe they’re not 3PMSF rated based on Michelin website.

    I don’t see 3PMSF on Michelin website.

    Any further insight appreciated.

Well I’ll be damned. I could not find the three mountain snow marking on the sidewall of my LTX AT2 tires.

Oddly enough these tires do have the rating.

I learn something new off this website every day from you all. In Colorado, this could have cost me 650.00 in the winter towing by not having this rating without chains.

@ColoradoTJ FWIW, I've run the KO2s on a tundra (as have many) and was very happy with their snow performance. My wife's 4R currently has the Toyo AT3's and we've been very happy with them. They're pretty light too as a bonus!

I still have the Toyo AT II on my wife’s 2006 V8 4Runner. They’ve taken us all over the western US no problem! Good tires.
