Hey y'all! Thanks for any thoughts on this.

We just bought my daughter a 2013 Tundra to take to college and it came with what we lovingly refer to as the "ag teacher package", ie -- super plain with a bench seat. As part of the prettification process we want to put a ranch hand grill/brush guard on it. I have been looking for a used one and can't find a 2nd gen version but am finding 3rds. Normally I wouldn't ask if a brush guard could be used across generations but I have looked at a lot of front end mods here and there are some things that are cross generational. If it would work, any idea about the mods needed?

We have access to new ones locally so it isn't a deal breaker, just trying to stretch her upgrade budget.

    Thank you!
    Michele

    Welcome from NY.

It should fit. They bolt on where the tow hooks are. It might be slightly off around the headlight area.
The front ends are very similar.
If you are buying a used one maybe the seller will let you test fit it. Just remove your tow hooks to make it take a few minutes to see. Make sure you bring the bolts from the tow hook with you in case it doesn't come with mounting bolts.
    Good luck with your decision.

I am a Texan. I will get a decent pic of the truck soon. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice. I wasn't exactly sure where they mounted and was worried about any attachment points lining up.

I’m running into the same situation I just saw a practically brand new ranch hand on market place for a great price but it’s for a 2015 and I’m wondering if it would fit on my 07. Has anyone heard anymore if they fit or tried themselves??

    Thank you

The mounting points are the same but may require some modification of the upper bumper valence for that part to fit and cover the gap between the bumper and grille.

Just an FYI most people on here refer to what you're calling 3rd gen as 2.5gen. 3rd gen would be the 2022 model.

Everything from 2007-2021 shared the same base with only cosmetic changes. Not sure how the brush guard mounts but I would think it would fit. Hell... you can but a 2.5 gen bumper on a 2nd gen, it bolts right up. As long as its not super tight to the truck anywhere I doubt you would have a problem.
