I notice with leveling kits every company has a different lift hight. Rough Country has 1.75,
Ready Lift has a 2” kit. Suspensionmaxx is listing a 2.25” kit.
So what is level and who has installed any of these listed. Id like to do 1.75 and put stock TRD Off Road rims and 35x 12.50 tires.
    Has anyone tried this combo?

On my 2012..... Ready lift came in 1/2" under the advertised height FYI.....so I still had rake in the truck

Welcome…level seems to be ~2” up front assuming you leave the rear alone.

The 1.75 is close enough and given the fact that most of us at least have a toolbox, some hiking/camping/biking gear or something else at the back there at all times it’s pretty negligible.

When you go higher in the front past 2 then you will more than like need to touch the rear (3/1 Wescott’s for instance) to get a level which is also a lift.

Toyota’s is a 3/2 so it’s have a very slight rake I believe…so those are half of the ride height and level/lifts you will see.

You only need like a 1.75” front lift to comfortably get 35’s in there by the way…not sure what your plans are but enjoy either way.

2” ready lift was $40 on Amazon, I got it for the price it levelled the truck and ride quality was the same I thought. I’ve since replace with a full setup but still great for the price compared to other levels.

I was looking at the FabTech 1.5" Leveling kit. Has anybody used this and how did you like it? Pics would be great.

I used Rough Country 1.75 & it pretty much made front and rear even. It looks great, but I ended up adding a Cornfed 1/2 to the rear just to give it a little extra for when I haul stuff in the back. I HATE the squat look.

I was looking at the Rough Country, but since they "updated it" to plastic it makes me nervous. That's why I'm leaning towards the FabTech. I don't do a great amount of hauling and only tow every now and again so if I get some squat with a trailer so be it. I was just curious if anybody had used it.

1” cornfed looks just about level. Not nose high and rear doesn’t squat when towing.

Make spacer lifts for several Toyotas. Good quality and fair cost. Check out their webpage. Big in the 4runner community.

Level kit or bigger tires first?

I say level kit…it may provide room for bigger tires depending on how big you want to go.

Don’t take too long to get those tires though or else the truck will look like you skipped leg day.

I vote tires first. Plenty of room at the stock height. For reference 285/60r20 BFG KO3 on stock wheels and suspension.

I installed the Fan tech 1.5" here's a pic. I've got a '24 CM Limited. I'm glad I didn't go with anything bigger than the 1.5". Ride quality is the same as stock. Only complaint I have is, it seems to be just a hair higher in the front vs the rear. I'm planning on the shortest Cornfed rear lift spacer I can get.

    IMG_20240815_195556~3.jpg

The front did settle out a bit after driving for a couple weeks. Pic is right after the install.

It looks good. I have the 1.5 ordered but I'm gonna wait to install till the stock tires are worn out (which shouldn't be too long, they're wearing out quick.) then I'll install the lift and put on bigger tires. Thanks for sharing.

I just ordered the Cornfed .5" rear spacer. If I get it installed here in the next few weeks I'll post a pic or two. Hopefully it will be where I want it.

I just received some Bilstein 5100s. Getting them installed today. Going with the 4th setting which is supposed to be 1.8” of lift.

Someone else on here went with the fifth setting, which is 2.3” and he said the front was a little higher than the rear.

I’ll send pics after my install.

BTW, I’ve been running 35” for months now with no lift and no rub (285/65 R20).

I like the look after leveling but because I tow a travel trailer i won't level my truck. After lots of research with my tacoma I would only do a shock lift and would skip using any spacers.

Did you go w B8 5100’s all around (24-329200 front adj) and rear (24-329217) accepts upto 1” lift? What did shop charge for install? I’m Thinking of going this route on clip 4 front w .5 or 1” cornfed spacer in rear. OR dklehman what would recommend for small adj in height for rear? Springs?

Thanks! The ride quality on the street is feels basically stock, until hit a decent sized bump. Then you can tell the ride is quite a bit stiffer, probably because of the preloaded springs.

I just went with the fronts. When you hit a good sized bump you can tell the front is stiffer than the rear. Maybe going with Bilstein’s in the back would equal out the stiffness. My main goal was to level her out, but in time I might go with something in the back.

I had it done at my local Toyota dealer. They did the install and front alignment. Charged me $780 plus tax.

I’m still learning about all the different suspension/lift options so not really sure what to recommend. The 5100 just came out for the 3rd Gen. I had them on my 2018 Tundra, also just to level it out, and liked them a lot. I was super glad when I found out they had them for the 3rd Gen cause I’ve been waiting the TRD 3in lift to come off stop sale. Oh course that’s a whole lift system, front and back, as well as correct geometry. But this will suffice for now, and it’s a way more affordable option.

I've been told that with the 1.5" spacer in the front I can run a 295/60R20 and not rub. Does anybody know for sure?

PXL_20250211_183712953~2.jpg Finally got around to installing the rear .5" spacers to correct the squat.
Very easy install, looks perfect now and still rides like it should.
And best part of all, my mpg's are back up to 20-21. Where they were before I installed the front.

Cool thank you. I was doing some more research and decided to go with a 285/65r20 That is pretty close to a 35 and with the 1.5" FabTech I should be in pretty good shape.
