I went ahead and had my hood wrapped with a matte PPF mainly to kill the glare. I like the added hood protection but works great with glare mostly eliminated. I don’t mind the color offset with my truck

So we have satin PPF on my wife’s 4runner and surprisingly that does very well with the glare. She has the hood scoop on the off road model and before the PPF it seemed if the sun hit it just right it was awful to drive. Just like the tundra. Was thinking about doing satin on my tundra and hoping for the best. It is definitely noticeable when driving into the sun. Matte looks good, but on smoked mesquite I don’t know how matte would look

That looks real nice! I like it so much I think it would look good on the entire truck. How much did it cost for the hood?

I agree that it would look good entirely wrapped. I paid 650 for the hood but will likely stop here.

I like the matte finish it definitely adds contrast to the paint,I was on the fence when I had mine done but went traditional gloss.
The glare hasn't bothered me maybe I'm lucky, on my whooping 12 mile work commute I travel West and on the way home it's East,so the sun is always at my back.

Nice looking Rig man all the best with her!
