So I have a 2023 SR 4WD. So far so good, except for the cloth seats.. I had a 2012 with cloth seats they were so comfortable I could drive all day no problem. The new seats pretty much suck. I drive all the time usually for 3 hours at a time. By the middle of the trip my lower back is aching. I’m in my late 20’s. So it’s not an age or bad back thing. I’ve tried multiple cushions and lumbar support. Doesn’t work because the seats are so hard.
So Does anyone have any recommendations for upgrading seats or replacing them ? That doesn’t cost thousands of dollars. I’ve heard that 2.5 gen fit the track but they look the same as my seats. So any advice will help. Lastly, please none of that “should have bought a higher trim stuff”.

    Factory installed self-destruct device :D
I'd start with a good local upholstery shop that does custom vehicles work.

I suggest getting some 99-07 Silverado seats and retrofitting them. Most comfortable seats ever

I also have trouble with seat comfort. I just took it in for the transmission TSB and let them know about it. They confirmed that the cushion on the base had separated and were able to feel the metal base poking out and stabbing them on the left leg by your hamstring. Just waiting to hear back from them if they going to cover it under warranty.

Before you go too far down the money rabbit hole by investing in new seats, retrofitting old seats, or getting your existing seats re-cushioned & reupholstered....

I would suggest throwing $90-$140 at the problem and trying a set of SeatJackers: Toyota Seat Jackers™ | Toyota Seat Risers | Desert Does It. $140 will buy you a set of SeatJackers for the front seat mounts and the rear mounts. Or, you can go just the front mounts for $90.

I had a similar problem with my seats in my old 2022 SR5 with the cloth manual seats. Lower back would ache, and the seats would become very uncomfortable after a few hours. The SeatJackers helped tremendously by changing the seating position & angle. I used them for about 15 months until I traded in the 2022.

I'd recommend giving them a try before you throw BIG time & money at the problem. If they don't solve your problem, you can always resell them here on the forum very easily and get 80% of your money back. So, it's a low investment gamble for you.

    My 2 cents.

I ended up ordering the seat jackers, after reading more reviews on them. I was really surprised on the positivity of them. If you remember did you put them on the front or the rear side of the seat?

I ended up doing a set on both the front and rear mounts of my driver's seat. Here's the post from my build thread for my old 2022 Tundra, if you want to see: Duster's Double Cab Build - The Daily Do-it-All | Page 3 | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com).

In that post, it shows my original installation which was 2 spacers up front and 1 in the rear. I drove around with that setup for a month or so and then ended up going to 3 spacers up front and 2 in the rear. That ended up being perfect for me.

It's very much personal preference based on your height/weight/body type/preferred driving position etc. Lots of folks just do the front set and call it good. The good thing is these are super easy to install. So you can swap out spacers and try different seating positions very easily until you find what works best for you.

I ended up using 3 seat jackers on the front 1 on the back and used the two extra on the front passenger. Definitely makes it more comfortable with all the driving I do. No more aching. Thanks for the info!

ohhh and my tractors seat hurt my back less than my tundras I can cut hay for hours no problem
