Curios to hear some sound clips of s-type and attack. I’ve enjoyed borla cat backs on several different vehicles over the years. Pricey but always a quality product. Dirty deeds 8 inch on my ol’ 18 has performed great for years.

Saw the email earlier tonight and got excited. I put off buying an exhaust until this got released but I'll wait for the sound sample before taking the plunge

Yeah, with no sound clips and that price, I'm gonna wait. Plus all the fitments say it will fit the extended can with the standard bed or the crew cab with the short bed. I've got the crew cab and the standard bed.

If it was a v8, sure, if turning money into noise is your thing. It's a v6. Keep it quiet.

Borla has always been very proud of what they make. Unfortunately they are a little out of line with the price on this one. Pass.

Sorry for late follow-up. Borla makes quality products. Interesting no sound clips, but from experience know both "Sport" and "Attak" systems are loud. Because of this, put a touring system on my 17 4Runner TRDP and now run European Sport version on my Roush. (Quieter in Normal mode and loud in Track mode).

Again, IMO, looks complicated as well. Just a lot of piping to run. Then there's the price. Little steep

Looks pretty straight forward bolt on for a crew max and a cut job if it's going on a double cab.:notsure:

Anyone try this exhaust with a bedstep? I like the sound, but Borla says it won’t fit with a bed step. I’m curious how much interference, and if it can be bent to fit (like the TRD axleback).
Waiting to hear back from Borla…

Just did the TRD Axleback, have the manual step not auto....looks great. Adds a bit of sound but mostly I did it for the looks and was a quarter of the price of a full cat back

more than I can list here
    Just some observations:

Every single exhaust system I’ve seen with that type of clamp has leaks at most or all of the clamps.

why have an X pipe if the muffler is 2 in 2 out? The exhaust is all arranged and smooth until that muffler.

otherwise, kudos to them, it’s very difficult to get two pipes up and over the rear axle. I haven’t read the directions, but I would be surprised if you don’t have to relocate the spare tire holder. That’s the only way I was able to make a dual exhaust on my truck. (Which BTW, the only way a dual exhaust even makes sense is if you go Catless downpipes)

I have the S-type on my truck and changed out the exhaust clamps for that very reason. Both pipes do fit over the rear axle. It was easy for me to install because I just aired up my bags to gain more clearance but it would be a PITA if you were at stock height considering the connections are close to the bottom of the bed. I also tried the Atak muffler and it was just too obnoxious for me. Still have it in my garage if anyone is wanting it for a fraction of the cost (muffler only). These are the clamps I went with.
