    Hello:

Does anyone know if the motors are the same for the front differential actuator and the t-case actuator? I cannot find a separate part number for either motor, only for each actuator assembly

I believe my t-case motor is bad and I have a spare differential actuator.

If no one knows I will attempt a swap out.

If you have the part number for the motor you have on hand, I would ask @Roman to run it and see what it's applications are.

I’ll keep digging, all I can find are PN’s for the entire actuator assembly with the motor.

That might be enough for him to start. Roman is out go to for all things OEM. Dude is super helpful and knows his stuff.

Bordenj: Any luck finding the part number for xfr case actuator motor? I suspect mine is bad and want to have a replacement in hand before disassembly.

I just swapped out my Transfer Case Actuator Motors this week. After a week of research, I concluded you have to buy the entire Actuator assembly to get the motors. OEM ones are $1-1.5k, but I bought an aftermarket one from Rockauto for $550 shipped. SAT013. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/toyota,2008,tundra,5.7l+v8,1441501,drivetrain,4wd+actuator,10456

Be sure to check out this thread for good info on the process itself; getting the gears timed and rod tensioned correctly can be a major PITA.

I now think my issue is the transfer case switch.

Did you replace the whole assembly or just the motor?

I just replaced the motors, to replace the whole assembly you have to drop and open the transfer case to pull the shafts/rods. In theory you could replace the housing as well and just reuse the existing rods without opening the transfer case, but the new one I received was actually damaged, so I didn't.

Any chance you had a look at the motor to diagnose if it was functional or why not?

Yeah, I pulled the 4hi motor first and was pretty comfortable assuming it was shot. The vent line was disconnected and the attached image was the result.
