I have the continuous blinking light when pushing the 4wd button I have replaced the front actuator, the 4wd switch, the 4wd control module, checked continuity on harness that goes to the front actuator and the 4wd fuse in the engine compartment. I do have an abs code P1241. Anyone have any suggestions on what the problem might be. The transfer case actuator does work and engages the front driveline but the front axles do not lock.

I have a second gen, but on mine there is a vacume line that runs to the front actuator that might be off or broken. You might also try tapping on the transfer case actuator with a rubber mallet as these can get gummed up. Check the condition of the harness and plug near that location as well. Once you get it figured out, put 'er in 4WD every now and then.

Thanks for the info. I tried tapping on the actuator while wife pushed 4wd button . Removed front actuator, removed cover and all was good. Connected power to terminals 2 and 6 and motor works great in both directions. I manually engaged the front axles and installed actuator in 4wd position but when I started the truck it was in 2wd and the front actuator moved the axles from 4wd to 2wd. It would then not go back to 4wd.

I have never messed with a front actuator, but I did take apart the one on the transfer case as it seemed to be sticking. If its the same type, it likely looks like a flat clock spring. It is imperative that it is wound back tight and the toothed rack/plunger matches the gears properly . I had to watch a foreign speaking guy on YouTube and on the third attempt I got it right. Not hard, just not fun. Hope you get it going!
