    Hello Forum,

This subject is covered in the forum however not at length. My son bought a new 2023 Tundra TRD Pro. He changed the wheels and gave the original wheels to me. I own a 2018 Tundra and love it. 2022 plus has 6 lugs and 2018 has 5 lugs as some of you know.

I would like to change the whole wheel hub assembly to a six lug. What year would be compatible with the 2018 so I can buy the parts new and have a shop change the configuration. I am not comfortable with spacers/conversion. Money is not an issue.

I know is kind of crazy but here it is. I love my son and will not ever sell or give away something he gave me.

    JLM

Easiest solution is a wheel adapter that bolts to your existing hub with your 5 lug pattern. The adapter will have 6 lugs on it to match the new wheel configuration.

If you are not comfortable with this, the next cheapest option will be to sell your truck and get a 2022 plus model that the wheels will fit.

Next up would be trying to find someone to make a wheel hub with the correct 6 lug pattern to replace the one on your truck. Then find a rotor to fit that hub. Then try to find rear axle shafts that have 6 lug hubs instead of the 5 lugs, then rotors to fit that. These items are likely not currently in existence and would need to be fabbed.

I would go with the first option. You may have to call and have a set made, likely in the $500 or so range. Perfectly safe, everyone's doing it. I have them on both of my Tundras for hundreds of thousands of miles.

Either wheel adapter or drill out the unit bearing/rear axle flange to 6 lug. This is common in other applications, but would have to be a custom route for the Tundra and that's assuming you can get the 5 lug/6 lug pattern to properly overlap.
