Depends on what kind of shape it is. Given that new ones are upwards of $2500 CAD here, I'd go for it, assuming it's not damaged or anything like that. I bought my Leer Legend new because there was literally nothing for a third gen around here at the time.

I paid that for mine. If it's the correct color I would go for it. No added costs.

How can anyone comment on this with no idea what we are looking at really?

A brand new one still in the wrapper is one thing and a beat up user is entirely another.

Everything is worth exactly what someone will pay for it but I would never buy things without more information and I hope you wouldn't either?

Bought a new ARE Z-series for a 2019 crew max @$2800. After it was installed, noticed the inside lip on the topper inhibited the movement of the sliders on the track system. Mentioned it to the dealer and ARE and neither attempted to resolve the problem. Invoice clearly stated it was for a tundra with "track system." Not a happy camper so can not recommend ARE toppers.

I have an are overland and like it. But like others said, there’s not enough info to say if it’s a good deal. Is it fairly well taken care of or is it in someone’s yard with raccoons living in it?

    Thanks guys
Honestly was just looking online and it’s 6 hours away. So I don’t know much more than that.
I’m going to make the drive and possibly snag it up.

Sounds like a great deal to me. I bought my are v series new and it was the same price as the CX. Way more than $900. I like the v series better.

It’s a far haul for me. I’m going to check it out this weekend and buy it if it’s nice enough. I’ll do a review if I buy it.

Why would you make a drive like that without a lot more information on condition and build than you seem to have?

In my experience sellers will make it sound better than it is and when pressed either will or will not help you understand the exact condition so that you are mot wasting a day or more risking that it is decent.

Yeah. Especially if he knows you are driving 6 hours. He’ll think you’ll take it no matter what. And you’ll probably be in the mindset that you drove that far so you’ll take it if it isn’t bad.

Yeah I saw pictures but honestly I drive 3.5 hrs every hitch so if I don’t like it I’ll just visit my nanny and turn back around
