So I am about to pull the trigger on Fox CO. Issue I am having is that I can get the same Fox CO but not tuned for $400 less than what Accutune sells them tuned for. The rears are $200 cheaper. Is it worth getting them tuned for $600.

I’d double check to be sure you’re comparing apples to apples. Because @AccuTune Offroad offers their products with little to no markup vs other resellers. Their tuning service is a no cost complimentary service. Which in my mind is a huge value add.

Did you happen to have the link to the lower price alternative for us to help you stare and compare?

In my dealings with @AccuTune Offroad , I’ve been incredibly pleased and couldn’t recommend them enough. Think about what you want out of your suspension system and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Tire Rack has the 2.5 Performance Elites for $1814. Accutune has them at $2200. Now I saw 2 other members said yes it's worth it, but. I use my truck for city/hyw, some towing and the not so much occasional off-road. I was recommended the elite for the front and 2.0 resi for the back. The backs are not as bad in price difference, they $120 off between TR and Accu.

But now there a monkey wrench thrown in. The 2.5 only goes to 2". If I get the 3" ones, I have to also get UCA. Geez Fox, whyyy!!!

this is not a fox specific problem, but rather a suspension geometry problem.

NGL that is a smoking deal and not sure you should pass that up. But I still stand behind letting @AccuTune Offroad do their thing.

IMHO truck is far too heavy for anything less than 2.5/corner.

I would call tire rack and double-check that they have them in stock as their website says. You may get a great deal.. but you also may be waiting 18 months to get them.

AccuTune on the other hand pretty much always has them in stock

I kinda get it but there are CO that go 0-3 without needing a UCA.
The TR price is a deal?
Far to heavy to go lower than 2.5 in size I guess is what you mean. Accutune actually recommended 2.0 resi for the rear. Said the 2.5 for the rear make it more bouncy, or something like that. I was outside in a noisy area, but he said for my style 2.0 fit the bill.

any c/o marketing themselves as 0-3 without uca is a company that you don’t want to do business with. It is the increased droop travel that will crash your oem uppers right into your coils.

From what I know, the tundra for the most part anything under 3" doesn't need UCA
Unless something has changed, I am no suspension expert. You can get into alignment specs with OEM UCA. I currently have 6112 @2.7 and no issues. If there is another reason for your statement other than what I just posted, please do tell. Always have an open ear and eyes to learn more.

I'll remove myself from any discussion surrounding whether or not AT is worth it, but I will say that I will match any other legitimate seller's OTD price (including TR), and I have them in stock :spy:

Thanks everyone for their recommendations! Much appreciated.

We sell at retail, no markup. We offer a lot more than just tuning and unfortunately we do tend to get customers who wished they had gone through us instead of getting that discount. No worries, OP hope you get what you want!

I understand completely. I did manage to get a way better deal than TR. I got the Fox 2.5 Performance Elite F/R for a tad over $2900 delivered. I will install them and go from there. I called today, twice as a matter of fact, the 2 person I talked to told me that being that I am 2wd, I would need to switch to 600lb springs, more money. My bank account is screaming at me right now. I am to the point of just going TRD Pro and call it a day, but for $2900, I am willing to go that route as of now. Can't be worse than the 6112/5160 I currently have. Still can send them to you later for a re-tune regardless.

Unless you think I can stay with the 700 and a tune. I was also recommended by you guys to do 2.0 resi in the rear instead of 2.5.

Hey its your decision. Lots of recommendations on here based on experience. Discount can only be enjoyed for a moment, ride quality lasts daily for many years :bikewhoops:

I am up in the air right now. I had one of your guys recommend Fox 2.5 PE F and Fox 2.0 resi rear. Then called 2 twice today. First guy told me 2.5 all around tuned would be the way to go and would ride WAY better than the 6112. I thought about and thought that would be perfect but $3700 wasnt what I was looking to spend. Then called back because of spring rates. Third guy threw me a curve ball that I wasn't told about. Being that I am 2wd, he said that I would need to switch to 600lb springs. Now that's into the $4k. Obviously quality cost, but steep for my daily use. Thats why I asked if the first recommendation would work, Fox 2.5 PE F and Fox 2.0 Resi rear. But if I do stay the stock Fox route, eventually I can send them to you for a tune.

10-4. Well I don't want to be the 4th person repeating things, but I will back up our sales team about the 2wd weight issue. We've encountered this with other customers, which is why we bring it up vs sell you what ever is on the shelf (like others do). We are 100% dedicated to suspension performance. An oversprung coilover can make the truck sit too tall and ride poorly. Often times adjusting preload cannot fix this.

"But if I do stay the stock Fox route, eventually I can send them to you for a tune." - Are you talking about sending TRD Pro shocks (stock) into us for tuning? Those shocks are not something we work on at all unfortunately.

I couldn't tell you the difference between the Fox and the 6112, but the 6112 also have 700 also, as do the majority of aftermarket CO and obviously it's all subjective but some say go 600 others 700.

As for the retune, it would be the Fox PE, not the TRD Pros. I mentioned the TRD Pros because everyone seems to love the way they ride.

I am also thinking about swapping my TRD lift kit bilstein shocks for the Fox 2.5 performance elites. Wondering if 2.5 front and 2.0 rear is the recommendation for mostly road, some towing, some (minimal) Offroad.

I am waiting to hear back from Accutune on the same thing and if I really do need 600lb springs. 1 of the 3 people I spoke to over there recommended that same set up because I use my truck the same as you.
