It looks like on vehicles equipped from the factory with the OEM TRD lift kit or if the lift kit is added by the dealer the front spoiler is removed along with the arms but the motor is left in. There does not appear to be any steps in techstream or by the techs to disable anything that would keep the vehicle from throwing a code. So for those that have done so, is removing the mounting arms and active spoiler the real option to not throw any codes due to leaving the motor still plugged in? This would allow no real movement of any parts when viewing the front or under the truck correct? I tried to find an actual install of the TRD lift kit but couldn't find one.

    Been researching this myself.

Click HERE for year model list of installation instructions. It’s near the bottom of the page.

Yeh I found them yesterday. But the instructions don’t really go into detail the removal of the spoiler. It just says to remove the middle arm and then the two sides. But it didn’t mention anything about codes. So I am thinking if remove those and the spoiler but leave the motor no codes are thrown.

Unplug it and see if it throws a code. I unplugged mine to test, no code, took everything out and chucked it. 2024 though.

I had the TRD lift kit installed after purchase and you are correct they removed the spoiler and arms but left the motor attached and plugged in. No issues doing it this way and no, you cant see anything hanging down or anything like that.

I am worried when Im offroad the spoiler is down it might get stuck or break in a mud puddle or something, can it be deactivated?

It’s deactivated in 4wd or towhaul mode and it only comes down around 40 mph

So I put an aftermarket bumper on. You have to remove the actual spoiler, the spoiler motor and the control arm that moves the spoiler. I then had to buy a small module that plugs in to the feed in order to trick the computer.
