Not to our knowledge, but with enough money and time I’m sure you can. Someone priced it out and it’s about $6k worth of parts alone

i thought it's not that expensive, just add several camera. i feel like 14 inch info screen is waist money and not useful without PVM.

Its way more than that. its front camera + new grill and camera mount, 3rd brake housing ($250+) 2 cameras in there (expensive), mirror cameras, all new wiring harness for the entire truck to run the cameras, switches, new pvm rear view monitor/ mirror, and a new ECU to add it in plus trying to reflash it with toyota to make it all work. You're better off selling the truck and getting one with it.

Someone swapped in tow mirrors and it costs $6k to do it right, MTM and PVM cameras will be even more

I bought an SR5 with the 14in screen and without PVM. Was looking to DIY installing panoramic view monitor.

I called the parts department and they said wiring harnesses part numbers are different for with and without PVM, so wiring harnesses are indeed involved if adding cameras. They never sent me the whole parts list to add PVM. So I'm looking forward to see an update on this thread.

The dealership is counting on this to rip me off more than they already have.

You should consult a lawyer if Toyota made you sign on a deal that you didn't agree with..

This is probably off-topic but I like Toyota the OEM very much but I dislike dealerships in general. Even they bear the Toyota name, dealerships are privately owned and independently operated by some extremely rich family and some of them use aggressive marketing strategies. Toyota relies on them for sales and repairs and have very limited control over them during dispute resolution.

For example the $699 ToyoGuard for 2 oil changes is mandatory from Southeast Toyota Distributors LLC, and the $1400-ish Lojack anti-theft device is mandatory on all Hendrick Toyota vehicles. They also charge $400-ish for window tint which was originally included by Toyota out of the factory. Not to mention the $1795 dealership handling, administrative, and processing fee, sales taxes, title application and registration.

I'm more worried about them trying to low-ball my trade-in and that's why I'm extremely reluctant to replace my truck.

There's a lot of shady dealers that give brands a bad name, that's for sure.

The dealers that have those "mandatory" charges should be put out of business. I wouldn't buy from them, ever. I won't even buy parts from the closest dealer to me, they won't come off msrp so I take my dollars elsewhere.
    Have you checked other dealers?

I am a first time car buyer and paid all $61k cash for my Tundra. I did my best to talk down the "mandatory" devices and made sure they couldn't make any money off me from jacking up the interest rate. The only thing I regretted, besides not investing in PVM, was relying on Google Reviews to select a dealership to do business with.

I think there are plenty of honest dealers out there with not-so-fantastic Google Reviews. I wish I had done more research to find them.

This probably deserves a separate thread for first-time car buyers: when dealers specifically ask you to come in "in person", they wanted you to pay the deposit and sign something so that they can have leverage to sell you bad deals.

So I have a 24 SR5 premium WITH PVM. I added the TRD MTS selector switch and was able to gain the sand, mud, snow modes but not the DAC/CRAWL mode…. Question is, think I can find someone to activate the MTM camera views on my truck? Basically have everything, every camera angle, and the cameras, just missing the MTM button on the touch panel. Actually going to ask my body shop, hit a deer and had to have repairs done and when I got the truck back all my camera modes were gone and backup lines missing. They are going to fix it and I’m going to try and say “where is MTM, that was in there before”…. But, didn’t know if anyone had insights if it can be done or not.
