does anyone have an experience adding a non factory sunroof to their tundra? A quick google search says its around $1-1500 and potentially a panoramic roof for around $2500.

Just worry about leaking, quality of the job,etc... but that is just me from not knowing the details.

I have found it is cheaper to just add the things I would like to have instead of replacing my truck... lol....

Never hear of anyone added after the fact. A panoramic would be really cool though!

I remember a member or two doing it over on Tacoma World a few years ago. It was costly and there were leaking issues. I'd stay away if I were you...

No way, better off buying one with a factory installed sunroof.

I added one to a hot rod many years ago- nothing but trouble. They WILL leak.

I think it’s rare that an aftermarket sunroof doesn’t leak even all the way back to the 80’s

that's what I am afraid of... I would be so irritated dealing with that and the potential issues it could cause. Problem is when I put monetary value on a sunroof, I cant justify spending an extra couple grand for a similar truck just to have it. gonna have to be content being that the consensus is not to do an after market

A local auto accessories company used to install sunroofs in vehicles but stopped a few years ago due to them no being able to guarantee it wouldn't leak. I would love to have a panoramic sunroof.

Back in the late 80s early 90 I work for a company that installed aftermarket sun roofs. ASE ,webasto, etc there is no freakin way I would do that to my cars. I don’t even really trust factory ones, had one in my wife’s ford catch fire but that’s another story...

I’ve seen plenty of vehicles traded in because of aftermarket sunroofs leaking. Not saying they all do, but they sure have a bad rap
