I have a 2010 Base which did not come with JBL or Navigation.
I am picking up an aftermarket radio with the hopes of hooking up a backup camera.
My camper shell is a A.R.E walk-in, which means I do not have a tailgate for a handle camera, so I would probably go with a license plate attachment.
I am curious if any camera will hook to the oem harness present underneath the bed and where would I find the other end behind the dash?

Any help would be much appreciated!

I’ve only done a handful of backup camera installs, but typically you tap one of the lines going to your brake lights for power, and run the video cable up front to plug into the head unit.

If you search the 2nd gen threads you will find your answer. It’s in here somewhere.

Yes most of the install tutorial mentioning tapping in the harness for power. I was hoping to use the backup camera harness so I wouldn’t have to run anything under and inside the truck.
