Anyone running the AFE Twisted Steel Headers by chance ?

They are pushing a heavy 21% discount on their site. I have searched high/low and haven't seen solid feedback on these. That discount makes them very appealing.

    https://afepower.com/afe-power-48-4...long-tube-header-connection-pipes-race-series

33+/30+ RWHP is solid on a stock truck just sayin and a DYNO CHART to show results which is what I like to see behind something I'm considering.

Also I just confirmed with Nick at ARH that he doesn't plan on pushing anything close to AFE's discount so considering my options.

I believe @TRON is running those headers. I have been looking at headers for awhile, just hard to justify the cost of some of the headers. I likely will jet a set of JBA headers since I picked up JBA mid pipes for them a few months ago that a member was selling for a good price

Yep I get this, Everytime someone ask about headers this figure is tossed out. JBA look great and Mr Deeds is top notch when it comes to taking care of his customers. I however read too much about quality issues and rather not go down that path. So only interested in AFE feedback ;)

I'm not interested in redoing my exhaust system either to 3in in order to obtain that peak number so a real world Dyno graph with a 100% stock truck is more suited for my needs.

Looks like AFE headers arent as long as jba, arh or kooks. So thats makes me wonder why the power is down on their compared to dirty deeds dyno. They seem more like midtube headers to me. Even the jba and jba catback will add more power than afe. In the long run you will happier with arh or jba based on experience..

Because it was asked here.. DirtyDeeds what all was done to the Tundra in question that enabled it to achieve 49hp/89tq mark ? Honest question because I haven't seen the Dyno sheet or mod list other than the mentioned 3in full exhaust needed to reach the #.

@TX210Tundra Absolutely love them! Now I cant claim official numbers since I did a TRD SC at the same time. They look and sound amazing if that helps haha. My tuner said the headers definitely helped achieve my new numbers so I'd say worth every penny, especially on sale! 510 WHP 525 lbft:cool:

Thanks ! What from I have gathered so far is they don't make the peak HP/TQ as a full long tube but you gain a broader TQ curve which is very useable on the street and towing I'd assume.

Btw those are some nice numbers :muscleflexing:

Just got off the phone with Terry over at AFE and he offered to do $1370 shipped to my door... Tempting I know

Biggest turn off is the use of 409 over 304

Flip side the comparable No Cat 304 setup at ARH is $1658 shipped to my door

Now I'm here on the fence over on differences in design/build material/ and whether $300 is worth it

I say go for it. The bigger gains is full 3in dual exhaust with x pipe thats how you gain that 89lb torque..
