I upgraded the turn signals on my ‘18 to Lasfit leds. They are supposed to be hyper flash free but they are not. Are there bulbs out there that aren’t $200 that work as they should? I really don’t want to tap into factory wiring to put in resistors. I have seen posts on here but they are a little dated and I’m hoping more products have come out since then.

I am upgrading my 2015 set-up right now. I have in the mail 2019 trd pro headlights(led), turn signal led bulbs(switchback style) with resistors from headlight revolution, and also parking bulbs(amber led) from HR as well… as far as I know with the research I have done you absolutely have to use resistors. The factory wire harness sends a higher current for the factory incandescent bulbs that cause the led bulbs to hyper flash only in “turn signal” mode. I am also waiting on @iHacker to get some more connectors in, from what he told me he is experiencing a connector supply issue. I can’t wait to get the whole setup done tho! Hope this helps…

These Lasfit have been working great for me (no hyperflash) on the rear 921 signal lights? Yellow LED turn signal lights on the front too, not Lasfit.

I got the turn signal bulbs with resistors and parking light bulbs for like 115$… still pricey but I felt the quality of the products were worth it. Got a free morimoto mug too!

Trucks from 2018+ have an upgraded flasher relay so at least the front turn signals do not require resistors not sure but probably this cover the tail lights as well but haven’t checked that yet.

I think if you install the rear or front by themselves, they are fine. It’s when you have both as LED when it messes up

Lasfit as shown in above post for the rear signals.

For the front I put these in:

I only see white on Amazon.com, the above is Canada's crappy Amazon version, but it has the red?

Again, no resistors, LEDs up front, no changes to headlights, all good.

I get all my LED's from superbrightleds.com. Affordable, never had a burnout, yet! As for Hyperflash, forget those fire hazard resistor shits, just install a CF-18 flasher unit! ELIMINATES Hyperflash! You can buy the dumb one, around $11 to $20 bucks depending who you purchase from, or the smart programmable one for about $80!

Tundras 2007-2021 have electronic flasher assemblies.
You can't replace the flasher module.

As to the OP, I used VLED resistors on my 2014 for front and rear LEDs turn signals..
Had them before the OEM LED headlight replacement and using them after.

While you can't replace them, people have figured out which component to change out inside. I did the mod to mine last year and switched to cheap Auxito LED bulbs from Amazon and they've been working great.

I did not realize that, but YES, please tell what you did to mod this! It would be nice to have a record of it to help other owners upgrade to LED's easily! Being a board level maintenance guy who is very comfortable with a soldering iron, this certainly piques my interest!!

I'm not sure why this mod keeps getting lost, maybe it's not getting pinned, but it's very easy to do.

    https://www.tundratalk.net/threads/flasher-relay-modification-for-led-turn-signals.120417/

I bought some 0.15ohm 2W resistors to do mine, but they got delayed in shipping. So I have some 0.15ohm 1W's in there currently and they're going strong on 16 months.

I've considered junkyarding a spare or 2 and pre-modding them if people would be interested, but if you have basic solder skills, this is super easy.

Now here is someone who understands how to do this. Shaving the two wires may work, replacing the wires with the proper resistors is an EXCELLENT option!
    Well done " elusiveOne "

"Finally got the LED's Turn signals to work! De-soldered the two wires and re-soldered two .12 ohm resistors! Works like factory!

NOTE, this mod should be done with care, an ability to handle a solder station with some proficiency is necessary.
