Interesting. I have never heard of them before. Even their logo font resembles the TRD logo.

Will be interesting to see if the oem caps fit or if they just come with caps that really say TRD.

Both of these OEM Toyota center caps will work with AGP wheels

Pretty sure you didn’t use the factory lug nuts. Did you use a standard a tapper lug nut?

Is +12 offset the same as factory one?

Factory regular wheels are 60 offset, TRD pro is 45 I believe (could be 40 or 50, don’t remember exactly). 12mm offset is much higher and will give 2in of poke with a 35x12.5 in tire

Did you buy tpms sensors or use your stock ones? I'm looking to get a set of these with nitto Ridge grapplers or Bfg K02s
What size would you recommend on a stock height limited ?

20230830_103838.jpg Purchase quality rims and tires. I bought Gen3 TRD Offroad rims used sub 500 miles with oem tires removed. I took 85 - 1/4 oz wheels weights off the rims from balancing! Can't believe how Toyota can subscribe to such poor quality tires.

I used my TPMS sensors from the TRD OR wheels. I heard of others having issues with aftermarket sensors and didn't want to go down that road.

@303Gen3 Which wheels were these? The 18" ones with the exposed aluminum bits or the 20" all black ones?

I have a set of the 18" OR wheels sitting and waiting for a home.

These. Near perfect. Can't imagine the tires that were on them. Likely E load and meaty. 18 inch. Gonna put all season highway tread SL on them.

I have a set of those too, they came with Michelin LTX Trail tires. More of an onroad tire than snow or offroad tire, I gave them to my nephew to put on his F150. I took the TPMS out and put those in my new wheels, Those rims are sitting collecting dust now. I even have the steel spare wheel! They are too heavy to ship and local sales have a bunch online on Craigslist for really low prices like 700 for the set or 1200 for the tires and wheels. I was thinking about putting them on my trailer but the center bore is too small for most trailer hubs and pretty much every other 6 bolt truck hub. Not too sure what to do with them now, maybe a plastidip finish and use them for a second set for highway cruising.

I think the original owner took the Michelin's off at or near purchase and went with a bigger/wider tire. I had the Michelin AT's on my other truck and they were very good - but not as quiet as the Yokohama's I looking at. None of what I purchased or you have available here in Colorado. You need the Tundra Express! Mine came via F150 express from TX.

Anyone have any resolution on these 18 inch replica TRD Pro wheels? Looking to put these on a Tundra, just a little hesitant about being able to use the stock lug nuts or if I need to purchase some special type?

No, stock lugs will NOT work. You will need to purchase some Extended Thread Acorn Lugnuts. Regular Acorn Lugnuts will only grab about 3 threads.

Here is what I was referred to from the AGP service rep:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08L75GQS3?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

    Wheel studs.png

Installed with no issues so far. Have about 6K miles cross country through snow and off-roading in Moab. Torque checks good.

See below for some detailed pics. Let me know if you have any questions, the lack of information out there is frustrating. Not a lot of info on ET lugnuts either, but here is a short summary of some critical information:

    1. ET lugnuts are required for *some* aftermarket wheels on Tundras (sometimes Tacoma?) as the lug studs are somewhat short as compared to other OEM's, and even the rear of the Tundra. Also the wheel itself might be "thicker" at the hub due to backspacing or generally more material is added as compared to OEM wheels for increased strength (another reason why the lug bores on the wheel may be reduced in size and do not accept OEM/mag-style lugnuts). Some guys have resorted to changing out these lug studs to longer versions, however there are complications there as well.

    2. The aftermarket wheel MUST accept ET lugnuts. I saw some stories of the very bottom of the wheel lug bore being too small to accept the extended collar of the ET lugnut. As such, the threads of the collar would engage the wheel lug-hole bevel, not fully seating and not allowing the 60 degree bevel of the wheel to engage with the bevel portion of the ET lugnut.

    3. The ET portion of the lugnut, or the cylindrical collar below the 60 degree bevel of the main portion of the ET lugnut (the first 4-5 threads of the ET lugnut) MUST NOT extend past the mating surface of the wheel to the vehicle hub. This might seem obvious but I saw some confusion for some, or generally forgetting to check this critical detail. Having the collar go beyond the bottom of the wheel lug-bore will allow the ET lugnut to bottom out against the vehicle hub prior to the wheel itself mating to the vehicle hub. SOme ET lugnuts are longer than others, it is not standardized or correlated to thread size and pitch.

    4. When installing the first lugnut or two, make sure the entire weight of the wheel is not resting on the collar of the lugnut. Somewhat hard to explain, but there is a very small amount of play between the ET lugnut collar and the lug-bore of the wheel. When the lugnut is installed at the 12 oclock, the wheel bore will rest on the extreme 12 oclock portion of the lugnut creating a "canted" situation or not allowing the ET portion to "sink" into the wheel past the bevel and into the bore of the lug-hole. There have been reports of the collar "breaking off" within the wheel lug-bore. As the ET portion of the lugnut is a thin-walled thread, my assumption is that it is susceptible to cracking at the interface of the cylindrical portion to the bevel/conical version of the ET lugnut.

    5. DO NOT use power tools to install these. As mentioned, the ET portion is somewhat more sensitive upon initial engagement. Also buy yourself an extra key or two. This was one of my biggest hesitations/misgiving with ET acorn lugnuts with the spline drive. I did try to find some hex head ET lugnuts, but all I could find were some chrome ones. I have seen these spline keys shatter, don't want to get stuck without a removal tool.

Anyway I was a little hesitant about these wheels, mostly because of the lack of info first from the manufacturer on what lug nuts will fit ("special lugnuts required" ... ok???), and then lack of info or even wide usage of ET lugnuts. I think SCS wheels or some Methods use them, but not a lot of literature about it online. I wasn't trying to get into the game of wheel spacers and whatever other wonky stuff is out there. I am happy with the results so far, and will try to report back if I have any issues.

    super_mech,

Thanks for the awesome and detailed response! This is just what I needed. I was on the fence about the bronze but they look great with Army Green.

Beautiful truck btw!! You must have one of the nicest trucks on this forum.

    Thanks again!

@super_mech apologies if you posted this already but what are the specs on your setup? Suspension/tire size etc? And these are the AGP pro replica 18”?

as mentioned already the truck looks killer and that post was super helpful!

@dan81 I am on a stock suspension for a TRD Off-Road package. I am running BFG KO2's with a 275/70/R18 on the AGP 18" TRD Pro Replica wheels.

Glad to help with the info!

I was looking into the 18" AGPs and while looking for experience, I found your build! First of all, what a beauty!!! Second, thank you for sharing your experience and information about log nuts, etc. This is much appreciated :)

    Lastly my two questions:
How much poke do you get, given the offset of the AGPs is +12 whereas the OEM is +60(?) and the tires are wider? On the pictures it looks like it's only a little but the angles don't provide a clear view...
Did you reuse your previous TPMS or add new ones? I want to keep or sell my OEM wheels as is and I've heard that not all TPMS sensors work...

@GoTTi74 Thanks, I am very happy with the truck. Going to be a lot of good times I hope!

I'm not sure on the measurements of what the wheel poke ultimately ended up being. I think I was willing to go up to +25 based on what I saw on other Tundra wheel setups. This ended up working fine for me with the tire combo. Some better pics below.

I did not reuse my TPMS, I left it without as I will be putting my OEM wheels back on in summer. Yes OEM sensors are expensive, and aftermarket are hit and miss. Also the TPMS not working light on the dash is not too bad!
