    There was something about brackets for a couple of the 2nd gen years.....it has been a while.

    I think you guys have it backwards. The brackets are needed to make a ‘10-‘13 grille fit an ‘07-‘09 truck. You shouldn’t need anything additional for an ‘11.

    I don’t have any experience with this grille, but maybe if it’s made to fit an ‘07-‘09 you need the remove the brackets from your ‘11 to make it fit. Just a guess.

    He’s going backwards. The grill he bought is for 2007-2009 which needs the old style bracket. I went to the sequoia style grill which needed the 2010-2013 style bracket to fit (hence why I have the old style brackets kicking around).
