I’m intermittently getting the above mentioned faults. Each time the warning appears, I’ve checked that all the sensors are clear of dirt, therefore eliminating the chance of a false warning from debris. I have taken the vehicle into Toyota, but seeing that it’s an intermittent fault they can’t identify the exact cause of where the problem is originating from. The mechanic mentioned that the airbag fault could be associated with the turbo waste gate but it’s unconfirmed! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I was getting all of those as well, besides the airbag. I was supposedly the first one with the issue and Toyota jumped all over it. The dealer and I believed it was a loose connection to the radio, but Toyota said to replace the whole unit. They installed a new radio and reprogrammed the computer. Since then ive only had that when I manually restart the radio because wireless Apple CarPlay is garbage. I need to get it back in to the dealer, but I’ve been busy.

Sounds like a bad ground, check the main battery terminal. I watched a video and a guy had similar issues and his negative terminal connection was cracked

Any resolution on the airbag issue?

I have over 5K on my 22 Platinum and have had the warning on the airbag twice. By the time I get to the dealer however its gone, so they don't have anything to troubleshoot.

Curious as to how the mechanic thought it was related to the waste gate issue and if you have had any luck with this so far?

My situation is very much the same as yours. By the time I get the vehicle to the agent the message has already cleared. They have done a software update and so far so good.

When I was working on installing an aftermarket dashcam through the OEM plug, and I disconnected the unit that controls the sunroof/map lights/up top and I got the same alerts. When I reconnected it all the alerts went way. Idk if that’s related at all somehow to these issues, but multiple systems talk to each other

I would show them the post above about that connector as it’s probably a bad connection somewhere.

Hoping these arent like ford where they stick connections in spots that get lots of moisture with the female side facing up or hard to get to (ala superduty rear bumper random wire connector causing all sorts of havoc).

Same experience today - SR airbag warning came on twice in the last month. Received this message from the dealer who looked at the problem today.

In regards to the air bag light issue. Toyota corporate is aware of this issue. When using wireless charging station it is tripping the air bag ECU. There is currently not a fix out for this issue. all we ask is that you refrain from using that feature until Toyota comes out with a fix for this.

Sorry to bump and old thread but was this happening in conjunction with the seat belt indicator being on? I just had the SRS malfunction warning come on on my 2022 tundra and the truck is essentially undriveable as the seat belt chime screams at you. I'm 120 miles from a dealer so this will be a fun time.

For me personally? No. Not sure about others experience. Did you hit any potholes or were on a rough road at the time it malfunctioned?

My truck's SRS malfunction come on when I was driving on a road that was extremely uneven and bumpy. The dealership found a connection in a wire harness had come loose if I recall correctly. I do not recall if there was a TSB about that issue.

There could be other negative effects if a connector came loose that's related to the SRS system. Hopefully the dealership can get it taken care of quickly. Drive safely!

It came on this morning. I had a 200 some mile highway drive yesterday to get home.
I did have a passenger yesterday prior to that drive and rarely have one so it wouldn't surprise me if the passenger seat sensors are what is causing it. I did jiggle and check the connectors there and disconnected the battery for a while. Did not resolve it.
Going to see if I can kill the seatbelt chime with carista prior to driving 2 hrs to a dealership

I was able to borrow a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle and bought the carista app to disable the seatbelt chimes. I found out that they turn off after 3 minutes when I drove to go pick up the OBD2, which would have been nice to know.

There is a fault with the drivers side seatbelt sensor related to the airbags.

Futhermore there are "Lost communication" faults with the brake system, steering angle, 4WD clutch control module, ECM/PCM A, and stop and start control module. Not sure if they are related.

Take it to the dealership. Sounds like something is loose or malfunctioning on the CAN bus.

Planning on it, I'm a couple hours from the nearest one so getting the truck there isn't just a drop it off whenever thing. Will update the thread with what they find.

2022 Tundra with SRS Airbag System fault. Dealer wants $800 to replace passenger seatbelt. Get the fault every time I have a passenger the last 3 weeks. Super annoying.
