    Hi All,
I've unfortunately gone through 2 switch pros in the last 18 months. The first failure, the unit was swapped under warranty, and it appears that this one will likely be swapped as well. Does anyone have any alternatives to the switch pro with a similar function they can recommend? I basically need the following.

    1) Remote key panel for 6 switches
    2) Some sort of mount. Right now I have mine mounted to the stick shift with the SDHQ mount for the Tundra
    3) The ability to configure DPDT for 2 switches. I have 2 Baja LP9 Pros, and I want to ensure you can't turn both low and high switches on at the same time since it cooks the lights.
    4) Something that will last longer than 6 months.

Given that the first Switch pro 9100 lasted a year, and the second only lasted 6 months, I'm really beginning to lose faith in the product.

    Thanks in advance!

    SPOD is another option
    Trigger as mentioned
    Rough Country makes one

DIY for six switches is possible but you’re gonna end up with wires out the ass in the console/dash.

I went with cheap Amazon option from voswitch but not sure how it would handle the high/low on those Baja’s, I have the lp9 sports so they are just on or off and it didn’t matter for me.

Sorry to hear that! How is the brain mounted? I've had the exact same setup mounted between the battery and headlight for almost 2 years now.

I use the ARB Linx controller but it doesn't have integrated relays like SP does so you'll have to install your own.

Thanks for the reply everyone! @dgtulsaguy, attached is a photo of my installation. It sounds similar, it's mounted vertically just to the right of the left (driver) headlight. In the first failure, I used a new keypad connection cable and a new keypad from an unopened box to verify I was receiving the same error (keypad sync errors), where the keypad was unrecognized even after scanning for it in the app setup. Given that the power module and the keypad were replaced, I assumed it would resolve the issue.

However, now that I'm experiencing the same failure again, I'm wondering if my connection cable was installed incorrectly and possibly damaged in some way. How close is yours to the battery and radiator? Whenever I check the temp on the app while driving, it's well below its max claimed operating temperature. I've never seen it get above 70C at it's highest point. It's supposedly rated to 125C, so I think the mounting is fine.

That's where I mounted mine as well. I was curious because I saw warnings all over their documentation about not mounting it horizontally, mounting seems fine. Did you use the same harness or did you switch that out last time too? That may be pinched somewhere...

Yeah, that's my concern that the wiring harness is pinched. They want me to send all 3 back for testing. I figure I might as well send them all back since the wire is the hardest part to remove.

I would recommend the triggersystems linked above. The overall design is superior and I believe their functionality is equivalent. I am admittedly biased against switchpros, I find their pricing to be predatory. I do like that they claim to be made in the USA, and they definitely have some neat features, but, in the end, the controller is a potted pcb. Weatherproof yes, but also poor heat dissapation and non-repairable. IMO thats why although they charge a premium, their warrantee is only for 2 years. If you have the cash and like the small form factor, more power to you.

I've ordered a replacement wire, rather than have to go through the hassle of taking everything out. Both failures occurred when I unplugged my Amp Power Steps ODB2 connector to flash my ECU. I have a feeling that the pressure of that connector hanging down exacerbates a broken or pinched connection where the cable comes through the firewall. It's the only component that's not been replaced, so it would make sense that it is the root cause of my issuses. I'll report back once it's re-run!
