Am I going to regret going with Toytec 2.0s over 2.5s?

I have a 2020 4x4 Crewmax and recently purchased the Toytec Aluma series 2.0 on the recommendation of my local shop (over my original plan of 6112s). The plan is to pair these with a 1" block in the rear, SPC UCAs and 285/75/17s.

They're sitting in the garage waiting to be installed, but I'm starting to second guess my choice.

I've done a lot of searches in an attempt to find real world feedback and it is starting to seem like hardly anybody goes with the 2.0 set-up. Am I going to regret going with the 2.0s vs a larger diameter shock body on a truck this heavy? 95% of the truck's life is unloaded on the street, but it does get used like a truck once or twice a month (muddy fields, 40mph down rough forest service roads, light trails, hauling/towing etc.).

I'd love to hear any feedback from those who have gone with 2.0s, or anyone with thoughts on my dilemma. I'm wondering if it's worth the trouble of returning and going with the 2.5s, or if I'm over thinking things.

    Thanks in advance!

    Alot of them
No worries at all. The Alumas are great setups. I have the 2.5's on mine. You will be just fine with the 2.0. @Toytec Lifts can confirm but I believe both are 700 lb springs. The 2.5 just has a little bigger shock body with a little more oil. The Toytecs are also far more superior over the stock setup.

I doubt you'll have any issues. I myself just bought the Toytec/Eibach kit because I wanted 2.5" of lift, and my use case is almost exactly the same as yours, with a little less rough forest service road stuff, and was told that what I currently have (TRD Off-Road Bilstein shocks) can handle it, and this kit is better than those; so I'm sure the 2.0's would be fine.

You won’t have any issues but since you are doing UCAs you’d be far more happy with the ride of the 2.5s.
These trucks work fine with 2.0s presuming to aren’t just completely bashing them off road but they are big trucks that really push any comfort that a 2.0 can really provide.

However you picked arguably the best 2.0s available.

The 2.5” shock has roughly twice the dampening of a 2.0” shock, but it doesn’t sound like you’d benefit from it and like others said you’ve picked a great shock, if you did more high speed off-road driving then you should consider the change

Waste a bit more now or a lot more later. Going off pavement once or twice a month is pretty often. I wouldn’t even consider 2.0’s.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I decided to pull the trigger on the 2.5s and Toytec worked with me to ensure they would arrive before my install date. I'll update once everything is installed!
