Amazon Evil Energy Catch Can

I have never used a catch can previously. But, as usual, this site finds ways for me to spend money. This actually seems like a “must have” for modern engines.

Anyone have experience with Evil Energy Catch Cans on Amazon?

Me personally I would get one with better quality.

 

That one has been discussed quite a bit on the S/C thread for being a great bang for the buck. Some of the more expensive ones preform worse

Unless you are boosted, not sure its really worth it.

 

The cheap ones seem to work just fine. 3 months of winter goop.

 

Catch cans are nothing but beer cans with steel wool in them. That’s it. They do not need to be $300. It’s a can the PCV flows through with a media for the oil to hit and sink and be collected.

$35 is cheap insurance and am shocked most cars don’t come with them. I guess the added price and asking some husbands to perform the self maintenance is too much? A 5yo could empty the can.

 

I have one on my Mustang and I have to bypass it to go through Connecticut Emissions testing. They consider the catch can “Tampering with emission controls”

 

How dare you screw up some perfectly good planned obsolescence.

 

Yep that one works great the radium is junk.
