I plan on installing 2 amps: 4ch and mono. At this point I’m planning the wiring and bought this:

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_007CKD4/Crutchfield-CKD4.html

However it occurred to me, where is the best place to mount the distribution block?

Option 1 - mount it on the engine bay side but then I have to run 2 wires through the firewall

Option 2 - mount it somewhere inside the truck but does this pose an electrical issue?

    Am I missing something?

Also, using a 5ch amp is really not an option at this point because I already bought both amps (4ch & mono)

    Any help is appreciated.

I’d run one large cable from the battery with an in-line fuse suitable for that gauge wire, then close to the amps I’d have the two way fuse holder to drop down to the amplifiers.

I grounded my amp under the passenger kick panel to an existing ground.

edit- just to clarify the inline fuse on the singe large supply wire needs to be close to the battery as possible. Never run large supply wire without a fuse. It’s there to stop fires.

Awesome, that’s what I want to do. I guess my ocd is kicking in and leading to second guessing.

    Stock, for now
656E31D0-67CA-4ABA-ACD3-ABB67A43A31F.jpg I have two amps as well. One under each front seat. I run 4 ga to under driver seat where I have a distribution block. An 8ga goes to the mono and another 8 ga to the 4 channel. The same with the ground. I used OFC from Knukonceptz. High quality. Mono is 800w and the 4 channel is 500w
