AMP Research BedStep 2

Does anybody have this on their 3rd gen yet? I would love to see some pics or hear how the install was. There's not a ton of info out there that I have found.

 

What's the difference between this and the factory one?

I just bought the factory one for $270

I'm looking for the same info. I put a bedstep from Amazon on the back but having one on the side of the bed would be great.

 

I have one on each side - 6.5 bed with factory power running boards. Love them! Install isn't too bad. I'll try to remember to upload some pics.

Sorry for the delay! Been a busy week - and obviously too busy to wash my truck

This is the passenger side. The driver side is identical. It is just a reversed installation.

 

Pay close attention to this bracket and ensure it is installed such that it can't come in contact with the flare on the back of the cab (in the location noted with the red circle). If it does make contact, it will result in a clunking noise when you go over certain bumps. That was a bit annoying until I realized what I had done to cause that.
