Hello. Newbie here. Just picked up a 2021 Trd sport. great truck! Only one issue I’m getting an annoying beeping sound with no alarm showing on the dashboard which usually six beeps but sometimes less and someone clue me in? Talked to 2 dealers that had no idea. It’s not Blindspot monitoring it’s not anything else I can think of.

    Appreciate it!

Need more details if possible. Is it happening sporadically, when you first start the truck…could be parking sensor beeping, seatbelt chime, maybe parking brake slightly engaged but that usually has a light.

Need context of when the beep is happening.

So, just normal city driving. Not seatbelt or any blind spot warning. Random, but only happens when accelerating. Speed warning? No indications on dash. Annoying as hell. Sometimes 6 beeps, sometimes 2. Update: just went into nav settings- no option for speed settings at all.

Do you have anything sitting on the passenger seat when it beeps? there is a weight sensor and if it thinks there is a passenger it will ding for them to put on their seatbelt if above something like 10 or 15 MPH.

Ok, a bit more clarification on when it happens.

Is it when starting out from a stop in city driving, or while already in motion?

When getting on the gas? Braking?

Does anything appear on the dash screen when it beeps? Can you scroll it over to the warnings tab and drive around to see if a message pops up when the beep occurs?

What kind of beep? Rapid like the parking sensor warnings, or slower like the door ajar beeps?

Have you tried turning off the parking sensors (button with the P on it) for a few days to see if that prevents the beep?

Is it the lane departure warning? It's an annoying beeping that can be turned off on the steering wheel.

Good thought! I turn that off because it's overly sensitive and I completely forgot about it!

    Already in motion
Only when getting on the gas
    Nothing on the dash
Will check warning tab (good tip)
    Rapid - from 2 to 6 beeps
    I’ll turn off parking sensors

on lane departure, why would it come on if I’m not deviating from the lane? Is it variable in terms of number of beeps?

For lane departure, it beeps for as long as it thinks its close to the lane boundary. You don't have to cross it for it to go off. That's why I turn it off. It's super sensitive and sometimes things like tar lines will make it think it's crossing lanes.

If it is lane departure you will see the indicator go from green to orange on the dash. IMO, it sounds like something that is normal operation but you aren't familiar with the truck and the TSS system.

@Tundra234 is probably right. Sounds like you might not be familiar. Stepping on the gas might be causing some traction problems. Just reaching here. That could be a beep.

It’s lane departure. In my own defense, I came from an 08 tundra with absolutely no bells and whistles to a 21 tundra. Quite a difference. I appreciate all the suggestions and advice. I’m sure I’ll be on here a lot with some more questions and observations. Truck has flowmaster dual exhaust. Thinking about trd cold air intake.

FYI You will gain no power, just noise with intakes. The trucks stock box is already a cold air intake.

    Welcome to the forum...

My work tractor lane departure stinks and I can't turn it off.
Like @GODZILLA stated it thinks tar lines are painted stripes.
When the painted stripe ends for on and off ramps, it thinks I'm out of my lane..

If you aren't happy with the FLowmaster, check out @dirtydeeds

Interesting. That might explain why original owner didn’t do a swap. OK, so no trd intake. another upgrade I thought about is pedal commander. Probably not doing that either as tow haul has very good response.

Yeah, the 5.7 has been around and Toyota didn't leave a lot on the table power wise. A dirty deeds exhaust will net you some small gains, but for something you'll readily feel you pretty much have to add a supercharger. Pedal commanders just change the sensitivity of the pedal, so it's not actually any increases power. It just makes it so that you push the throttle less for the same response you would normally get by pressing it further. Not worth the money IMO.

White. I do like the flowmaster. Probably not going to do many mods. A magnuson would make this truck scary fast. Not needed in my case :)

Welcome to the forum from Va. Glad you figured it out. And black is fastest color. But white will do. Like a black hole… fast enough to escape light speed

I know you figured out it was lane departure but for reference you will also get a beep with no notification if your hood is not shut all the way.

For your reference, here is a thread that I started. Check out the video in it. I have had experience with the Pedal Commander and would not recommend it. The Banks PedalMonster is far superior. The video explains the differences between the two. The PC/Banks is not the same thing as using the Tow/Haul button.

I saw that when I was searching mods

different topic: truck has nitto ridge grapplers. 275 55 20. Not familiar with this tire. I want something that probably doesn’t exist: good all season tires good in snow and e rated. Any suggestions?

Falken Wildpeak AT3W or the Toyos that @Tundra234 suggested are both going to fill that requirement. Not sure what sizes they come in, but for better comfort and less wheel to damage I'd suggest dropping to 18" wheels. Lots to choose from depending on how comfortable you are with trimming. Personally, I'm over putting lifts and tires on and I stay at stock sizes, but I'd definitely go for an 18" wheel.

I was almost disappointed with the 20’s, but they look great. I may just end up selling the 20s and getting 18s this way I can get the sidewall I want.
