Picking up used V2 on Monday (5/27/24). Comes with a few mods already but wondering what Tundra users think of them. Most are on Tacos.

Damn those looks so good. The rabbit hole is getting bigger with all the extras you can find for these.

Yeah, I've already talked to them a couple times. Feels like I'm talking to a guy in the next campsite over from me, not customer service. Super cool dudes there.

I was real close to buying one of these. Friend of mine has one. It's well made and he uses his often for camping. Like you've already noticed, it'll be just another down payment for more accessories. Wish I could've found a used one, they ain't cheap.

Yeah I noticed at least in my area I never see used campers like this. Right now most wait times are into the fall so outside the main season. I was considering a softtopper as a temporary alternative, especially if you have a 6.5ft bed you can setup a cot/etc just fine.

Yeah, with my crewmax, sleeping corner to corner was getting old. Almost sold my tundra and got a sprinter. Wife was absolutely against it. So went back to casually looking for GFCs. First time finding a couple on FB market place. Picking it up for $6800 fairly locally and delivered to my house. Gonna have a half dozen friends come over to help transfer it from seller's truck to mine. Already ordered the foam tape seal. I need to stay off Amazon and the sites that sell mods. It's getting scary

Congrats. You will not be disappointed especially at the price point. There are tons of wedge camper options out there now each with their pros and cons. The GFC is a proven platform that I’m sure you will enjoy. Part of the fun is building the camper out to suit your needs. Be sure to post up pics of the progress.

Had about 8 friends over to transfer it from seller's truck to mine. Little heavier than I anticipated. Used some C channel steel bars as we lifted and inched it back off the seller's truck. Once it was off, we just moved it over to mine and slowly approached it towards the cab, stopping about a foot short, then making small moves until it was about an inch off the cab. It's so spacious. Bigger than I anticipated but it's going to be extremely nice when I'm camping and during hunting season. Cannot wait to use it.

Beef bars, ladder mounts and maybe solar? Or wired for it. Nice score. They're close to 275 lbs, but it's an awkward weight for sure.

Yeah, came with a flexible panel already mounted (tape) and wired up. It works. Been slowly adding some things to make it easier to use, but nothing crazy. Already had a "drawer" cubby box that I had built 5 years ago. Gonna keep it. However, I'm no longer storing gear in back since it no longer fits in garage. Don't need it being broken into and gear/tools getting stolen. Going camping in two weeks, so looking forward to trying it out.

Finally leveled out or slightly raised the rear. Used a Roadmaster lift in rear to help with ride, and added about an inch in the rear. Also found a somewhat local guy in So Cal, owns a tire shop. As a side hustle, he finds used OEM truck rims and has a powdercoat booth at his shop. He powder coats them and re-sells. Picked up dark gray/black OEM rims, and traded in my old OEM TRD rims plus $550. Just finished using nikwax and permethrin on the GFC tent so it'll be water proof and hopefully bug proof.

As it sits currently, on 295/70/18's, and in desperate need of spacers.
