Thinking about doing this to my 2021 TRD Pro, any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve always wanted to to do it. One downside is it weighs more than you’d think. Your available payload will drop.

I’ve seen a few trucks in person that had it and really liked it. Don’t have to worry about scratches or small dents. Or waxing, just run it through a car wash. Post pics if you get it done.

Roger, and I believe they have lots of colors now days. Draw back is the cost, but as you mentioned it can help avoid tons of scratches and small dents/dings. Here in Colorado that will pay for itself in one year of hail damage!

Stuff looks awesome, Westcoast Customs does a lot with them.

I was actually talking to them last year about opening my own franchise, but then..............

I’d be very careful researching which ‘franchise’ you have do it.

I some some Linex done on my ‘16- rockers, etc- when it was basically brand new. It peeled within a year or two. Had it warrantied and they butchered it. And now, it’s peeling... Again. I’ll be looking into pursuing the ‘Lifetime Warranty’ next summer, but not sure how that’ll go, given that the ‘local franchise’ will never, ever, touch my truck again.

This is very tempting. If I linex my truck I'd actually take it down tight trails off road.. wonder how much it is?

That looks good. Did you weigh it before and after to see how much it changed?

    Some.
Sure looks like the key scratched the crap out of it.
It looks to me like the thin spray is for people that want to say they have their truck sprayed and not people that want the protection the full coat provides. My bed is sprayed and will one day need to be redone because of the scrapes and gouges.
Personally, I'd pass on that thin sprayed crap. Might as well use Walmart bed liner.

No, not relevant for me. If you drive a truck like this, a few pounds more or less should not be an issue. If MPG is an isdue, go and get an Prius :)

Good thing with this is: I did not have to wash it down since than, beside of course after she was fully covered with dirt

What’s the cost for having the whole truck body done?

5 to 7k, depends on how serious it is done. My application was done by removing all doors and so, so it took a lot of time. But like this, also covered areas are sprayed

I was asking more for payload than mpg. I’ve heard it can be 200-300 lbs, which takes alot out of the already crappy payload.

I had my bed done, not the whole truck. No way it increased weight by 200-300 lbs. Maybe 50 at most.

50 lb is good. I checked years ago for my 2010 and was quoted $4k-$5k. Seems the price has gone up a few thousand since then. It’s be nice to have though.

If you’re taking about having the entire truck done it might increase the total weight by 150. Depends on how thick you put on.

I went to the body line of a suburban I owned. If I had to do it again I would have had the shop use rock guard instead.

I had my bed done by Line-X last week. It was one of the few concessions I was able to extract from the dealer during negotiations when we bought on New Year’s Eve.

I’ll try to post a photo later today, but the Line-X spray-on liner looks amazing. Hard to believe it’s a spray.

Have to admit, I didn’t even think of weight or payload capacity being impacted by something like this. I’m new to trucks, so my bad. I didn’t weigh the truck before and after.

I love this idea. I love the look of matte finishes and I obsess about swirl marks that I can’t stand on my truck.
That key thing wasn’t as bad as y’all made it out to be. It was moisture, no? Once he wiped I didn’t see anything left behind
