Anyone else put tire cleaner/shine on the tread?

This is my first set of A/Ts. I never had to do this with regular passenger or sports performance.

I just realized I should also put the tire foam on the actual tread. It was bothering me seeing all brown tire grime in between the tread in the channels.

    :annoyed:

One time I put Armor All on the treads of sheriff's car. He was kinda young and heavy footed,,,,,LOL Luckily he thought it was funny when he got sideways leaving.

heck no that is soon dangerous. Its basically like coating your tread in oil. All you are going to do is slide around and get no traction.

I think he’s talking about the inside of ridges in tred. Not the part that contacts road. That being said I guess it looks good maybe. I just spray w water to clean em. If I took the time to go in each groove with my finger and tire shine by the time I was done it would be time to wash the truck again

I put grease on my tread so the shine lasts longer.
