I got 2 free bottles of this stuff in my oil order. I'll dump it in my tank if anyone's used it and can attest to it A) not grenading the ol 5.7 and/or B) it helps the engine run/idle smoother.

    A. I’ve ran it a few times and the 5.7 is still truckin’

    B. No difference

I dump a bottle of seafoam, berrymans or amsoil into the fuel tank every oil change (5k miles). If nothing else, hopefully it keeps the float clean for a working gas gauge.

Thanks. I'm gonna pop it in on the next fuel up.

    Too many, but not enough....
I think those things are just good for carbon buildup. You could also gun it on a freeway on ramp once in a while to get some carbon off. If your truck is in need of attention it might do something otherwise pretty minimal.

Pretty much how I feel about 99% of additives out there

Truthfully, I have never seen any of those products make any difference in IMMEDIATE performance. I typically do use either Amsoil P.I (like @Wallygator mentioned), Lucas, and Techron every 10k miles.

Carbon buildup has a slow cumulative effect on the motor IMHO. Which slowly but surely robs the vehicle of efficiency. Hence why I do believe in using those additives.

Since adopting this method the dealership have not recommended a carbon cleaning service. One Toyota mechanic commented on how clean my wife’s 2016 Highlander that ONLY sees short tripping and many times does not get to full operating temperatures. She literally does everything you’re not supposed to do when caring for the engine. But that said the vehicle is in great shape but I do change the oil every 5k.

I do believe they serve a more apparent purpose in older engines but these newer vehicles run efficiently enough to where the sludge and buildup factor isn't as great a threat. I haven't used any additives in my truck the entire 77k mile time I've had it so I don't mind using a couple free bottles of this stuff at this point.

Doing research for future vehicles, found out '16 was the last year of Port injection for the Highlander. That alone keeps the motor clean

    Didn’t know that…

So they went to direct injection on the newer models? I wonder why they changed it?

Usually, almost always, nearly 100% of the time, research shows it has to do with money.

Yeah, it might be a combo port/direct, not positive.
    Better mpg's, supposedly.

Got some for free with my last order, too. Poured it in. Didn't hurt anything, doubtful that it did much. It shouldn't do much if you have clean, healthy engine. I would think that if it does do a lot of noticeable good, you should be clued to take better care of your truck. Kind of like if you take good care of your health, you won't notice any miraculous improvements after taking the latest "miracle supplement." I won't be spending any money on it.
